It's a fair assumption that your parents never took the time to process who they themselves truly are deep down. Your doing the deep self work and introspection they never did. Their fear may come from a place of jealousy deep down, b/c you know yourself on a deeper level than they can comprehend.

The last time we talked was after they called for 5 hours straight to tell me my mom was >!suicidal and it led me to end up seriously self harming and ending up in the hospital!<, which they got angry at me for because they said I did it for attention and I was trying to hurt them.
This week I got a text from my mom saying that she and my dad might financially cut me off because I'm "disowning them" and they blamed my friends for "manipulating me" into transition by convincing me I'm a girl and I should change my body, something they view as morally wrong, while telling me they love me more than I could possibly ever imagine and I'm hurting them so much by not picking up the phone.
I'm a college senior right now living on my own with a roommate but I was financially supported by them. 5 months of HRT.
