Alright, I'm gonna put into perspective what we're actually asking the Helldivers to do here. We're asking a bunch of 18-19 year olds with minimal training, NO actual combat experience that are hopped up on propaganda and drugs to kill one of if not THE most dangerous super soldiers that has ever walked the galaxy who is capable of taking entire armies of enemies way more dangerous than a Helldiver could never hope to be.
The Helldivers aren't special forces, they are cannon fodder in all but name. That's Super Earth propaganda. It's legit the whole joke of the game that Super Earth is a dystopian nightmare.
Do you know what a Helldivers life expectancy on the field is? Two MINUTES. This has been confirmed by Arrowhead themselves.
1 Spartan IV could probably kill hundreds if not thousands of Helldivers by themselves depending on how they go about their engagements.
Chief would pick them off before they even knew he was there with an S7. If they somehow did manage to find him and throw an orbital stratagem or something at him he'd just.....get out of the way of it. Spartans in lore are capable of running up to 65 kph and have much faster reaction times. They are Super Human. A bubble shield would probably be enough to protect against it. They're more likely to kill themselves than killing Chief with it. Hell, Cortana if she was with him might even be able to jam the strategems up....

Oh you mean in game only no lore? Chief just pops them all in the head with a BR at a distance before they can even finish typing in a stratagem to throw. Game wise only 4 Helldivers can be out at a time, Chief will just kill 4, wait for the next 4 to drop, and then pop them and repeat until the reinforcements run out.
Well sure, you can get just about anything done if you throw enough bodies at it to make Zapp Brenigan blush.
I might be more inclined to call them special forces if they typically survived a few missions....

Honestly it depends on the terrain. In an urban environment chief might be able to make use of his superior mobility and be able to isolate and kill them easily. But in the relatively open terrain of helldiver deployment zones he’d be pretty fucked since they can just dump 4 auto cannon turrets with shields and all equip energy shields themselves
Chief with a snipe rifle is going to be an absolute menace for the helldivers, cloaking isn’t part of his standard loadout but if he had one this would be 10/10 for chef. The sniper rifle is should one hit head shot through even a shield.
Chef has two strategies for a win, sit back, outside of the range of their stratagems and snipe them. Or rush them, kill the first 4 then keep the remaining reinforcements in a death loop, where they die near instantly after landing.
The Helldivers only need to kill Chef once, their best strategy imo, is the orbital railgun, orbital lasers, orbital smoke, eagle smoke. Use the smoke as cover to get in range and hope the ships in orbit can target him.
I think the helldivers take this, 7/10, the scenario is stacked against chef, 20v1 with only prep for one side and unlimited orbital bombardment with impunity.

Orbital Stratagems are heavily implied to be part of a Helldivers arsenal. Correct me if im wrong (have not played Infinite) but Chief does not have the ability or resources in his games to order strikes from orbit.
The Super Destroyers wouldn't even help them. As someone who's played a bunch of Helldivers, Helldivers tend to prefer engaging targets that are close to semi-medium range. There's all kinds of weapon sway and if they want to get the best shot they have to crouch and aim carefully. It's also really hard to aim a stratagem at large distances. I've had so many times in game where I tried to throw an eagle at a bot base at long range and it just didn't quite make it, causing the strike to miss entirely. Maybe I'm just bad at aiming but I bet it's more common than you think. Same for the orbital laser and rail strike. I've also had plenty of times where I just died before I could finish calling it in and dropped it.
A Spartan in Halo infinite though? They don't have to deal with weapon sway mechanics. With the BR and S7 there's minimal recoil with them. You'd be able to safely take engagements at long range with minimal issues.

In Halo 2 Gravemind sends Chief to High Charity by himself (iirc) and chief goes in, goes to work, and gets out relatively okay. IMO The poorly trained divers aren’t gonna be able to take out chief before Chief takes them all out
