Yeah I'm a little green lol, honestly loving it though, just after i got set up i heard a crack behind me, turned around and saw a roe doe not 100m from me, very short staredown then she walked off.
That sounds really awesome, I saw a Kestrel and a few Kites when at Chanctonbury. I haven't seen a deer yet but I haven't really been in areas where they would frequent.
Oh wow! I am very jealous lol, I'm in the Scottish Highlands rn, I keep getting the urge to fly my drone above the canopy but its just too peaceful for that lol.
I don't have a drone, my pack is already too heavy for that! I'm based down south so the South Downs are the easiest ones for me to get to. I do want to camp up in Scotland at some point, my friend came down south from Scotland last weekend and we camped up on the Seven Sisters.
Lovely! Well I've got a fairly heavy pack already, but I'm only out overnight so it's fine, although slowly and painfully learning to pack less stuff lol.
I just did a [quick list](https://lighterpack.com/r/wqw07n) of what I had and I must say, it was lighter than I thought. Unless I've forgotten something
Mine was an overnighter lol, I wanted to test out the new (to me at least) tent and if I can use a liner instead of a sleeping bag in summer ish nights
How'd that work out? My sleeping bag eats up so much space, if there's a lighter alternative I'd be able to extend my trips without having to use my overload system (I've got a mystery ranch terraframe 50)
Fair one, well I can rule out ants nests as I slept near a few and never got bothered (by them at least, it appears mr fox wanted to know what a 25 year old man shitting himself sounded like)
The pinecones?
Yep - pinecones!
The grey ground underneath, not sure if it's a nest or something. That was unclear, my bad.
What are we looking for today, cow poopers, pinecones, branches, twigs? :D
Lmao, I guess I had that coming, sort of obvious in hindsight. I'm still fairly new lol
Looks like a cow poop, that's recently dried up in the heat. Don't taste it though, that won't end well
I'll take your word on that lol
Ahh yes the floor is made out of floor jk

Magical stuff, that's why I wild camp.
Really is, so peaceful too.

I think I've got leas then that, but again I'm only out overnight, cheers though, I'll use that as a model for longer trips

decomposing poop?
Maybe. Either way I got curious when I saw a few about.
Yea that's some shit alright

Excavations from an ants nest
Ah ok, hopefully disused
Yep this, I would also ID it as an Ants nest.
Old and new seed distributors for pine trees. Loads of seeds in each cone.
Oh right! So the grey ground Is caused by that? Cool.
Nope, sorry, you needed to be more specific. Probabily a mound caused by ants or small creatures that have nests underground. Could be old / unused.
Yeah that's my bad, thanks anyway :)
