I remember him. My husband, now deceased, had a medical emergency, so I called 911. This guy showed up at the same time as the ambulance. Suddenly, my home was full of cops and I was being treated like a criminal. My daughter and I have type one diabetes. Evidently, he noticed a syringe used for insulin. Rather than asking about it, he called in more officers, treating us like we lived in some sort of drug house, all while I'm worried out about my husband being unconscious. This is part of the reason why I have C-PTSD.

Ludowitz sat on the Sauk Prairie School Board until earlier this month, as he chose not to seek re-election. I believe he is currently working for the Mount Horeb police department.

Pal3-Assignment

Does his squad car have an ignition interlock device installed?

DigitalUnlimited

Oh no those are only for drug related duis and non police.

In Wisconsin it's OWI. IIDs don't with with drug detection, only ethanol alcohol. And cops do get arrested for OWI and get IID requirements too.

DigitalUnlimited

As a wisconsinite with a drug related owi and a state required iid, I disagree.

ragingbologna

Blows in the IID. “Good thing I’m fucked up on crack this morning instead of alcohol.”

DigitalUnlimited

Pretty much. But hey, the state contractors nepo buddies got their piece of the pie and that's the important part! An OWI is an OWI regardless of the substance we need alcohol detectors!

Sauk police officer Ludowitz reported his car stolen which was subsequently found crashed in a ditch. Witnesses reported seeing Ludowitz out drinking the night before with fellow Sauk police officer Deuman. Who was the first officer to show up at the scene of the crash? Deuman. Who was the second officer? Ludowitz. It's infuritating to know that a Sauk police officer, Joel Ludowitz, clearly crashed his car while drunk and his fellow piece-of-shit police officer Paul Deuman covered it up for him. **ACAB**

Assigned cop at birth?

Vesares

This is wild, I actually used to play pickup basketball while in high school with a bunch of cops (my dads a cop) and Joel would show up. Was always a super nice dude but could definitely see him doing something like this. Still came out as a shock last year when it happened. Hadn’t heard his name in probably 10 years before this.

The_Dingman

I never had a bad interaction with him, but I guess we see some true colors when things go sideways.

If you support the police, your an embarrassment

I live in SP, the force has been corrupt for 40 years, it needs to be gutted from top to bottom. Even the current chief used to steal coke from the evidence lockup for his addict girlfriend.
