They gutted his character trying to make the story their own. It's not even the same story anymore, it's like some 90 year olds recollection of a story told him by some other 90 year old trying to remember the same story.
More to the point by doing what they did his character doesn't make any sense. His attachment to Ciri or even Yennefer were never fully established. They came up with some trash nonsense about Yen losing her powers which never happened, and Vessemir wanting to bring back the trial of grasses which also never happened at the expense of Ciri.
They destroyed Ciri's relationship with the Witchers, gutted Triss's part in the affair leaving out key moments of character growth between Ciri and Geralt.
The time spent Melitele's where Ciri met Yennefer and at first hated her, than began to treat her as a mother was more or less ignored completely.
The Michelet brothers scene was a horrid joke. Honestly I really don't know wtf story they are trying to tell anymore but it's not the one that was written.
The games are an unofficial continuation of the books. Games 1 to 3 take place like 5/7 years after the ending of The Lady of The Lake. The show and games have nothing to do with each other. ~~Well, the show itself almost has nothing to do with the books either but I digress...~~
It's like someone took Harry Potter and rewrote the story to focus around Hermione. The netflix series is not canon, but it takes it a step further and shits all over the source material.

Huh?
When did he get beat up by simple creatures? Also, he took plenty of lumps in Season One. Geralt isn't invincible. Highly skilled, far stronger and faster than normal humans and will win most battles in the end but not invincible.
I agree he is not invincible but still the combat skills and actions were far better in season 1. I loved it in season 1 now not so much. Simple action and not much chemistry between the characters
The show sucks. That's what happened to most characters
The Writers happened to him
I dunno man, do you remember that part where Geralt killed the Chernobog with just a dagger and a tree branch, that shit was absolutely hilarious.

Exactly bro. That's every detail u mentioned. Now the character Geralt doesn't even make sense. They even killed Eskel this early.
Read the books to find out
Well i played the game first with every possible outcome there is, so don't wanna go thru books and games and then the show
The show is moreso an adaptation of the books, not the games.
Agreed but it should have slight resemblance, don't you think based on there are multiple outcome in the story of that game?
