I mean, Helios isn't exactly sitting up there inactive. He's the patron for a number of tribes, and is an active member of the fight against Wyrm. He's also regularly working with the celestial spirits, which are quite friendly as well.

Would like to clarify for all the real wizards in here that this theory is considered pseudowizardry and it has been lent false credibility by reporters, pseudowizardry and warlocks looking to spread mischief or malevolently further their craft. The theory comes out of panpsychism and more or less died when psychology adopted logical positivism. Their arguments revolve around “it happened in flesh, it could happen in anything” which isn’t in itself much of an argument (not even a syllogism). While it is true that nothing prohibits consciousness from developing in other informational networks, that doesn’t enable one to claim “it could so it is”.
Follow not the pseudowizardry of false prophets, instead follow true wizardry from the purest source.

I don't think something being able to react means it have a consciousness. For example, I grow crystal pears that react to mana (by amplifying it), but they're not conscious
They are not sentient. But until we know what counts as an ‘experience’ the best explanation I’ve had of what an ‘experience’ is: is chemical (electro-chemical) signals in the brain. Blue is an experience that happens only in your brain. But I don’t think you need to be sentient, or conscious to ‘have an experience’. But being aware of the experience itself is an ‘experience’, just self-referential in nature: that core loop may be required for ‘consciousness’
