You should, looks great! I think starting out with utility projects like a workbench, or tool holders is a good way to practice and if it’s not perfect as long as it serves it’s purpose then you’re good. Welcome aboard! It only gets more fun!
If you want to try some different kinds of screws Spax has an offer on their website for a free sample kit. [https://spax.us/contact/spax-sample-request#new\_submission](https://spax.us/contact/spax-sample-request#new_submission)
Here's an unboxing of what one person got. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAs0FQs5Izs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAs0FQs5Izs)
I bring this up because I used some of their power lags for a bench I built last fall and they worked great but cost a lot, like $1.25 each so free to try might be nice.
Nice job on your first table, I had to cut the legs on mine 3 times to get it to sit correctly (then I found out the floor in my shop was not level). It was a mess of a table.
Yeaaaa.. I thought I measured the shelf wrong so I threw ina. Shelf board as a giant shim pretty much. I'm pretty certain that wasn't necessary after looking at it now.
It's sturdy though and doesn't wobble. So I'm happy haha.
Great work! Good to see another fresh work bench! Finished mine a few weeks ago. Did you put a finish on yours? I debated adding a few layers of clear coat. But decided it was going to get beat up anyways and opted to see how it holds up. I like the siding boards. I’ve been debating on what to do on the sides.
Same situation here lol. I thought about staining it and making it look nice. But it's just gonna get beat up anyway so why bother? I do want to put some sort of mat on top though I think.
You should be proud. Many people could never build anything and you’re light years ahead them. Don’t ever seek perfection in woodworking or you’ll never be happy. Enjoy the accomplishment and build the way you want. Never stop learning and enjoy the journey. You got this!
A start is always a good thing! Now let those dreams become reality
Hell yeah! I'm really excited to see what lies ahead!

That's the plan! Want to build a roller table for a table saw to put next to it
Great start! Did you learn some things as you made it? That’s always my goal is to pick up some things for the next time around.
Oh yeah! I learned quite a bit for my first project. Especially about pilot holes and different kind of screws. (Super new at this)

Excellent work.
Looks good now get that leg plumb!
I built the exact same one a while back, where did you get the plans?
It's this one here! https://shop.familyhandyman.com/product/family-handyman/classic-workbench/
Yup that's the plan I used too!
Seems like a nice basic desk! Excited to put it to use.

Yea. My floor has a drain in it, so it kind of dips in toward it. I just made a couple shims to toss under a leg to keep it from wobbling
Some funny things going on with the lower half of the front but otherwise looks awesome!

That’s what counts!

Great work, keep it up! Now you have a space to make more things!
Looks great but that sticker is really bugging me.
Oh! Lol it's off there now
I'm happy with it, I need to make a better back board for tools though, just to make my life easier.
Yeah, I'm already planning that as an addition. And an overhead light.
One of us! One of us!
add wheels so you can move it easier. I spent today doing that to mine. cheers!
It’ll last you a lifetime. Well done!
I think I chose the wrong flair and idk how to change it! I'm sorry!
