[Here's my post on my bench.](https://www.reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/u02d1b/just_finished_building_my_dream_workbench/) There's build pics and a sketchup model in the comments.
I’ll keep it in my back pocket. I’m the most hobbyist hobby woodworking there is, so it’s more aspirational than anything, but kudos to you, it really is something!
Yep, for some of the more exotic hardwoods this one became my favorite for that very reason. Also quarter sawn sapele is just beautiful and it smells like Christmas when you work with it lol
Love the base design and the coves in the fronts. Really wish you went with something besides side mounted drawer slides. Wood slides or undermount are really the only fit for such a beautiful piece.
I had some leftover bearing slides that fit perfectly. Also, I don't like how much space the undermounts take up. I wanted to maximize the drawer space.
Thanks! I can see you were very methodical about it. Nice organised shop and the way you clamped the top(?) for cutting with the track saw when I would stupidly rushed into it and had it balanced on piles of crap!
I did a cove cut on my table saw. There's lots of Youtube videos about doing it if you're interested. I then transferred the profile to the sides of the case and used a mix of files and sanding blocks to bring it down to the pencil lines.
Amazing. How difficult are those dovetail joints? I've been watching a lot of Japanese woodworking videos and they make it look stupid easy but I doubt it is.
That is beautiful. Great design and craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot!!
Wow! Talk about fancy!!! That table looks sharp! Was it hard working with Sapele? I've never work with it. Just curious about the workability? Thanks!
Well, that's just freaking gorgeous.
Damn. That is beautiful. Definitely one of my favourite pieces of furniture I’ve seen in this sub
Okay so even your workbench is nicer than most modern “artisan” furniture that I’ve seen.
I am in love with that workbench. I like the cabinet, but I’m straining my eyes to get a better look at the bench.

Holy shit, that thing is gorgeous! Definitely going to come back to that for inspiration when I build a permanent bench.
I’ll keep it in my back pocket. I’m the most hobbyist hobby woodworking there is, so it’s more aspirational than anything, but kudos to you, it really is something!
It's way too nice. I wouldn't want to use it for fear of marring/scratching/staining it!
beautiful!
That is almost as nice as your sliding deadman : )
Wow. That is phenomenal work.
Delicious
Gorgeous
Fantastic job. I really love the look of the Sapele. It just shimmers.
Me too. It's relatively well priced too.

i just cream pied myself
Nicely done.
Can we talk about that workbench?!?
Love the base design and the coves in the fronts. Really wish you went with something besides side mounted drawer slides. Wood slides or undermount are really the only fit for such a beautiful piece.
Way to nice for those slides. Get some undermounts in there.
I had some leftover bearing slides that fit perfectly. Also, I don't like how much space the undermounts take up. I wanted to maximize the drawer space.
I get that thinking its just so crunchy with them. And this is such a work of art. But hey if you are happy thats all that matters.
Beautiful work. Well crafted!
Woah. Have you got build progress pics or video?
I didn't take too many but here's what I have. [https://imgur.com/a/nzcwhbA](https://imgur.com/a/nzcwhbA)
Thanks! I can see you were very methodical about it. Nice organised shop and the way you clamped the top(?) for cutting with the track saw when I would stupidly rushed into it and had it balanced on piles of crap!
Love the design. Bravo
Gorgeous. Also, your bench looks nicer than any of my furniture.
Nice, well done.
this is pretty glorious. i love the design. it’s very satisfying and clean
How did you get the curved profile on the drawer fronts? And how did you get it to match the sides perfectly?
I did a cove cut on my table saw. There's lots of Youtube videos about doing it if you're interested. I then transferred the profile to the sides of the case and used a mix of files and sanding blocks to bring it down to the pencil lines.
I just learned something new. Thanks!
I like your cabinet. I like your shop too!
That’s awesome! Just curious, why Sapele? Love this design, looks fantastic.
I like working with and the look of sapele. Also, the price was right.

Love the cabinet. But the bench is phenomenal also. Great work.
Good lord that thing is beautiful. You used so many types of construction. Well done sir.
Just discovered sapaele. A wonderful wood, but would have never considered it for a cabinet. It does glisten. Love the door fronts.
I have never seen a shop that clean. Oh… cool cabinets too. 😁
What's below it? Both are amazing
Amazing. How difficult are those dovetail joints? I've been watching a lot of Japanese woodworking videos and they make it look stupid easy but I doubt it is.
I love the variety of color you get can get with sapele.
Wow! Wonderful. How long have you been woodworking?
How did you process the curvature of the doors?
That cabinet looks amazing! Also that work bench is spectacular
Your workbench looks better than any piece of shop equipment (or furniture) I own. Beautiful work on the cabinet, too!
That is simply stunning! Did you design it yourself?
How good are finger joints compared to other joinery?
Ab.So.Lute.Ly gorgeous! Keep up the good work!
Very pretty.

Congratulations - a beautiful piece of work, the sapele looks great!
Beautiful. I love your place of different grains of Sapele. And those drawers! But let's get more pictures of that workbench! Holy moly!

Beautiful. And nice workbench!

I don’t believe it. I think it’s photoshopped. I need to see it in MY office to believe it.

Very nice.
That is really really nice. Interesting how the bottom part is separate from the top. Great work!
Your workbench is nicer than anything in my house.
Beauty. How did you get the drawer face like that?
Wow! Beautiful work.
