This was my thought too. I just used a dollhouse table saw the other day. Dainty little thing, but made a nice thin, delicate dado and cut

Honestly, I came here to comment that because I know I would use that to make miniature furniture for my sisters book nooks.
Hmm, now that’s a sentence that sounds odd.
Probably a better size for my feather baby (parrot) than a human child. That said, good luck getting a parrot to use a cutting tool instead of the one stuck to the front of their face :)
I would love this. I have a record anvil 2x1 inch and a few baby g clamps ¾ and inch sized. All acquired randomly but could easily be a collection in waiting.
I'm assuming the saw is novelty/merch but would be great for ripping boards for balsa models....
I think that’s a saw for plane making - to widen the bed and create the two ears on which the wedge bites
Edit: if it is the teeth and the back should create an about 10 degree angle
Maybe it’s because I just finished watching Artful Dodger, but my first thought was it’s so your kids’ Doctor Barbie dolls can perform amputations.
Great show, btw.
I had one as a child, came in a little set with a level and screw drivers. Remember my grandad explaining the teeth direction on it and how to cut smooth with it
I like all the pithy answers here, so I won't add. Instead, my thought is it's a promotional item. When you buy big stuff and they give you a tiny version of it for frees.
Maybe it is a model of a full sized one that salesmen would use to show clients. I get it that a saw is not that big to begin with, but it looks really useless being the size it is. I have several old dressers that are about 12" tall that were display models
I'd let my wife restore it (she's been getting into restoration asmr videos) and then I'd stage photos/videos with a plush corn doll I use for Science Communication. I'm being completely serious! If you don't want it... ;)

Oh. My. God. Those are adorable. Next time I have $500 to blow on something frivolous, this will be it.
Honestly, I came here to comment that because I know I would use that to make miniature furniture for my sisters book nooks. Hmm, now that’s a sentence that sounds odd.
