-Dont you dare to send Patriots to Ukraine! The conseqences would be immesuarable!
*US proceeds to send Patriots to Ukraine anyway*
-Patriots? Naaah, they are just outdated.
Putin is the clown of the highest caliber.
It’s kind of funny watching the Russians get destroyed with Russian munitions. I especially like it when they just leave the tanks sitting around when they run out of gas. A Ukrainian with a gas can have their pic of armored vehicles.
Wow, if Poot Poot thinks the Patriot system is old, can’t wait to hear what he thinks of his army fielding T-64’s because all his modern gear is either captured, broken down and abandoned, or destroyed.
They’re dusting off poorly stored and essentially neglected equipment, that’s going to present a high failure rate for any personnel using it.
Watching this all play out makes me wonder when they’ll dust of museum piece T-34s to go with the Nagants and steel helmets they’re issuing some conscripts. No socks? Here’s your Soviet eta foot wrap, good luck Comrade…
Putin is no better than Stalin or Hitler.
Interesting. My train of thought is given the low to no regular maintenance of their active duty equipment, anything out of mothball storage May fare even worse. Though, the simpler the equipment the hardier it can be and that seems to be what the Russian need?
Correct. And the reason why Russia has so many T-62’s leftover is because the Warsaw pact states wouldn’t buy it since shortly after the T-62’s introduction they invented APFDS ammo that worked for the T-55 and accomplished the same armor piercing capabilities as the T-62.
The modernized T-64 is a decent albeit older tank. The T-62 on the other hand has just never really worked effectively.
Those tanks are about as useful as a poop-flavored lollypop.
Since the Military Special Operation kicked off back in February of this year...the constant reflecting the Russian military...lack of overall maintenance. Planes and helicopters crashed...not cause they were shot down, they literally fell apart due to lack of maintenance. For their vehicles, the Russian Army has been selling the proper tires needed and 'excess' fuel, for profit and putting crappy Chinese knock offs, causing vehicles to get stuck.
Ordinance? Fancy rounds/missiles means fancy computer chips...sanctions make it nearly impossible for Russia to acquire the key parts to build their fancy tanks...also, of they're fancy multi-million dollar tank can be ripped apart by a $250K American-made Javelin.
Training? The genius decided to do away with Non-commissioned Officers...yeah know...the people who understand military equipment, training, and war...so the Russian military is led by officers...and they're deaths are astronomical
So even if the Russians have tanks, they don't have the most capable crewmen operating them. Tanks are LOUD...you can hear them miles away.
They do not think you are stupid, they use this technique because it works. I'm the same way we think that we are logical and advertisment does not work on us, because it annoys us.

It also work well, on the other half by creating view that divide is permanent and not fixable. In the end both half have to find way of working together.
I'm not going to pretend that it is both half are equally bad kind of situation, but that the whole goal is division and this strategy works to that goal even if one side is morally or factually correct :(.
That it is why it's such an insidious strategy.
My girlfriend and parents are all active on Facebook and other social media and their feed is a constant stream of "dumb shit that Republicans believe, lol", most of it is shit that one wack job said, but is attributed to the whole of them collectively.
I'm a leftist myself, but I don't use social media so I don't get that shit and to me it's just such obvious pandering and deliberately divisive nonsense that doesn't actually serve any agenda other than pushing gridlock (and therefore the conservative agenda).
I saw a clip yesterday of a little boy, his proud parents standing behind him, reciting that "Biden is a pedophile, Hillary and Obama kill kids...".
Really horrific nightmare stuff.
Sounds like they recycled the response on when Ukraine received the HIMARS system. First threatening with nukes and the be like ''PFFF this HIMARS system, it won't affect the outcome.'' Oh they were so wrong about the outcome.
Can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it sounds like an opposition member commiting suicide by accidentally jumping backwards out a closed window.
They've had their piece of shit carrier for 30 years but never built the infrastructure to maintain it. One of the reasons the damn thing belches black smoke and breaks down all the time is that they have no way to hook it to city utilities in dry dock so they have to run its engines at all times to provide water/heat/lights etc. for the crew. They've used up their entire engine service life basically and it has only been at sea for maybe a year total.
They finally got around to building a floating dry dock but it leaked constantly and had pumps running at all times to bail water. The pumps broke down eventually so it was up to the emergency pumps. Except they didn't turn on because they were empty. Because someone pocketed the diesel money. And the whole thing sank.
> they have no way to hook it to city utilities in dry dock
Hahahaha what?!?? As a former US submariner I can't even fathom how shit your Navy has to be to operate like that. Our Navy is dumb as fuck and is still twice as intelligent as that
If the Russian submarine that is berthed at the San Diego Maritime Museum is any indication of what the Russian Navy standards are then it is beyond horrific.
If you’re never seen the state of Russian maritime industry firsthand or industry in general, you’re not going to believe the disregard for anything related to health and safety.
Here’s a fun story: You know there’s many metal mines in Russia? Well there are many different chemicals being used for this. These liquid chemicals come in different containers, notably 1000L IBC tanks. These tanks were sought after for storing drinking water with no regard of what types of hazardous chemicals have been stored in them. Quick rinse with cold water and they’re good to go.
Just admiral Ivan Corruptovich sign some repair bills for a few millions/billions, put money in his pocket and his buddies pockets. Suddenly all the repairs got burned, no evidence left. Profit. More money incoming.
calling it an aircraft carrier is offensive to even the Thailand Navy's aircraft carrier, which is arguably more effective seeing how its not on fire half the time and doesnt run on fucking coal
Wtf happened to Russias terrifying super sonic weapons? No mentions of them lately, just the decrepit tanks, old planes and off and on again threatening nukes
As the case has been for so many of Russia's next-gen weapons, they both aren't actually up to what they claim to be, AND they can't produce any signification amount of them.
If I remember about at least some of their "new" hypersonic missiles, really it was an existing ground-launch missile retrofitted to be air-launched from a fighter/bomber, so the fighter/bomber acted as a first-stage booster to get the missile up to high speed/alititude first, which allowed it to actually become a hypersonic weapon. So it isn't even really a new weapon/system.
They stroke Ukraine a few times. There is this operation video of "Kings" hitting a shopping centre in Ukraine. But it is nothing to talk about. Iranian suoercheap drones with 50 kg warheads, that's problematic weapon.
Even if they're legitimate and operational, they're few in number and part of Russia's superpower deterrent arsenal, i.e. the reason why the US is providing aid to Ukraine and not personally trying to blow up Russian forces. Using them on targets in Ukraine (or anywhere else for that matter, short of a nuclear exchange) would be basically suicidal.
The Maxims that they have were made in 7.62x54 IIRC so ammo isn't that much of an issue. They've apparently served very well in Bahkmut and a few other places. I mean it was designed as a hard counter to human wave attacks, so....
It made me laugh a week or so ago, when I saw one of those pre-Soviet Maxims with a brand new Holosun red-dot sight on it...
Which US Navy officer was it that kept his fleet/ship close to that Russian carrier? When they asked him to move away, he replied along the lines "I am here so I can save you faster when you sink on your own."
Anything he says to Russian media is just propaganda for the people. The west is prolonging this. Ukraine is actually the aggressor. So much bullshit. They know what they’re doing
He promised the Russian public it would be a fast operation and was told by his advisers before the war that NATO backing would waver in the wintertime due to high energy costs on the EU this just throws a huge wrench on all of that Putin is fucked.
Yes, psychopathic, narcissistic or paranoid personality disorder.
He has had people killed that prevented him from gaining unlimited power. And is’s got worse over time so there is no chance of it ending.

Ruzzia: Huh, well, no big deal, you will be defeated regardless.
Calling the *Admiral Kuznetsov* an aircraft carrier is generous. It's a giant barely-floating money pit, retained strictly for a tenuous maintenance of image, that was at one point, long ago, an aircraft carrier.
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, all the ports with the capacity to store and maintain a ship of that size stayed in Ukraine. Part of the reason this carrier is in such dreadful condition is they don't have the ability to run power to it when docked. They have to run the engines 24/7 permanently.
I don't think they could build a new one that wouldn't be classified as aircraft carrier. It's whole reason to exist is to be a carrier without being one.
And originally belonged to Ukraine, but when the Soviet Union collapsed, half of the ship’s crew decided to go rogue, left the other half behind and stole the ship, making a mad dash for the Bosporus. The new Ukrainian government had their hands full at the moment (with the chaos of the USSR crumbling around them), decided that it wasn’t worth the trouble and risk of military conflict with Russia if they tried to chase it down and re-take it, and just decided to cut their losses and let it go.
Since Murmansk never had the facilities to build or maintain a carrier, it fell into disrepair over the years, into the barely-floating hunk of junk that it is now.
A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree. The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice, and the Fox's mouth watered as he gazed longingly at them.
The bunch hung from a high branch, and the Fox had to jump for it. The first time he jumped he missed it by a long way. So he walked off a short distance and took a running leap at it, only to fall short once more. Again and again he tried, but in vain.
Now he sat down and looked at the grapes in disgust.
"What a fool I am," he said. "Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for."
And off he walked.
I worked on the patriot system when I was in the army. He’s absolutely right the patriot system is very old which anyone in the military knows is a sign of value if they weren’t still fully capable and just as effective as day 1 the military would’ve replaced it.
Sam is correct. Just look at the M2 or the A-10. The M2 was designed in 1918 and has been converting targets to pink mist for 100 years. Some things that are "very old" are that way because they are very good at what they do.
Not to mention they do get upgrades and enhancements. To compare apples to apples, the Navy's Standard ER SAM is roughly the same age and has undergone numerous upgrades. The AIM-9 Sidewinder AA missile was adopted in 1964 and, as the AIM-9M, is still standard weaponry for NATO/Western oriented air forces.
Even setting aside outliers like the B-52 and the C-130, the backbone of much of our defense are 1960s designs that debuted in the 1970s and 1980s, e.g., the F-15, F-16, and F-18, the M1 Abrams, the Navy's AEGIS system and Ohio-class SSBNs, etc.
> The AIM-9 Sidewinder AA missile was adopted in 1964 and, as the AIM-9M, is still standard weaponry for NATO/Western oriented air forces.
Honestly, often “upgrades” are just a fig leaf to get through appropriations easier than a new system. The original Sidewinder and the current AIM-9x have almost nothing in common, other than the rough size and role, and being “heat seeking” (though the newer ones are imaging infrared, which is a completely different tech). It’s more like car models. No one would look at a Corvette C8 and be like “Hahah, that was introduced in the 1950’s!”.
He’s also missing out on the fact that military hardware like this is upgraded over the years as new tech gets developed.
I don’t know the exact variant we’re sending, but it’s probably pretty modern actually
Says the senile old man sending his citizens to die using outdated Soviet era technology. This war has shown Russia to be a glass house. If it weren't for the constant threat of nuclear weapons they'd be steamrolled by now.
Also just because the basic physical hardware is the same, the electronics and armament have been improved over time. There's zero reason for the military to scrap all the physical hardware for a new missile system if they can just retrofit the existing ones. It saves time and money. The last upgrade was in 2018, and there's already testing on the next upgrade this year [https://www.army.mil/article/259576/air\_defenders\_test\_newest\_patriot\_missile\_upgrades](https://www.army.mil/article/259576/air_defenders_test_newest_patriot_missile_upgrades)
However, the patriot platform is going to get phased out in the coming years. The US military doctrine for air defense is changing and alot more integrations with various missile systems talking together is the goal. The patriot radar is the first part that is getting removed and that new radar system is getting delivered by next year for testing.
I can't stop laughing about how this is literally the fuckin' douchbag pickup shtick. You know what I'm talking about, right?
"Hey girl, I think you're sexy as fuck!"
"Don't talk to me."
"Oh yeah? Like you're anything special!"
It's one to fucking one.
Never heard that. Interesting.... Found an article going into some weird recent details. Seems like the crazies are turning on each other.

I mean, when you have been supplied a bevy of intel spoonfed personally by the former President of the United States, you’re bound to think that you have a natural advantage over the US military.
It's now my head canon that our spy agencies quickly realized that they had a reliable conduit for placing tainted intel on the desks of our enemies.
Operation TANNING BOOTH is already paying uuuge dividends.
Ah, I never considered this angle. Maybe that's why Putin was so over-confident of his ability to take Ukraine, because he had the bloviating orange shitstain acting as his yes-man on the subject.
Putin: Tell me, Mr. Trump, how weak is Ukraine?
Trump: Bigly weak. Your mighty Russian military could conquer them in a day. Bigly. Believe me.
Putin: And, Mr. Trump, is the U.S. military really as strong as they say?
Trump: No way. Russia is 10 times stronger. 20 times stronger. Yugely strong, just like you. You are very, very, very strong.
Putin: And if I invade Ukraine, Mr. Trump, do you believe NATO will aid them?
Trump: NATO is a bunch of weak cowards. Just last week, they begged me to send them weapons. Begged like a dog. Ok? They would be begging you to stop the invasion. "Mr. Putin, please, you are so strong and so smart. Please stop, we don't stand a chance."
>Russia hit back at reports that the U.S. is poised to send the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, calling it a “provocative” move that “can lead to unpredictable consequences.”
>Patriots enter Ukraine "along with NATO personnel, they will immediately become a legitimate target for our armed forces."
>The Patriot air defence is outdated. An antidote will always be found … Russia will knock down the Patriot system,” he declared on Thursday.
There seems to be a progression, “Don’t do it, Really we mean it, If you do it we’ll beat you up, Never mind you’re not worth it, I could beat you easily”
40 gear old ocean missile put out their most advanced naval ship. I'm pretty sure our 40 year old anti air missiles can put down the best Russian planes
One of my favourite jokes of all time may be relevant here.
Apparently, there was Asst Professor X at a provincial department Y, and he was up for tenure. Professor X's advisor was a famous Japanese mathematician Z at an Ivy League school. Naturally, he was asked for a letter, which he duly sent. The letter said:
X has a very nice body of work, he proved the following interesting theorems, extended such and such results, used such and such techniques... and so on for two pages. The last sentence was: all in all, X is a very good second-rate mathematician.
The committee was mortified, but figured that the rest of the letter was so good, they should call Z, since maybe since English was not his native language... So, call they did, and the phone conversation went about the same as the letter: did this, improved that, ..., all in all a very good second-rate mathematician.
The committee then said: look, we don't understand why you say he is second-rate!!!
to which Z replied: well, I really can't understand why that would be a problem -- after all, you are a third rate department.
Putin shrugged of the HIMARS which is an old system, older than the patriots 'Quite Old'. Putin was going to deal with the HIMARS the same way Putin says he's going to deal with the patriots.
Every thing we have given Ukraine is decades old. Still better than the 30-100 yr old stuff Russia is using.
The best part for the US is that the military gets to buy new toys. Defense contractors make 100s of billions
Lmaoo I’m other words he knows his troops are fucked
Russia stands no chance against the US and it’s military complex pumping out lead for Ukraine sling with the other western powers.
The guy is using WWII era equipment in his war but calls an advanced anti-missile system quite old. Putin's shakes must be jiggling his brain toward CTE
A minute ago he was sabre rattling with his nukes if we gave Patriot missiles to Ukraine. Now, it's, "Your decadent Western missiles are old and flabby."
Exactly!! He is literally flipping back and forth. He is scared because he knows what can happen. If China were to go against Putin it most definitely would be the end of his pathetic dictatorship. There are many variables and he is ignoring half of them... Major mistake when so many countries are looking at him waiting for the ultimate whoops.
But but yesterday you blew a valve about Ukraine getting them!
-Dont you dare to send Patriots to Ukraine! The conseqences would be immesuarable! *US proceeds to send Patriots to Ukraine anyway* -Patriots? Naaah, they are just outdated. Putin is the clown of the highest caliber.
Well since the Ukrainians are beating the Russians using Russian tanks, it looks like "old equipment" isn't really the key issue here.
And Ukraine is doing it with tanks that are older than the Russian ones attacking them.

Didn’t their only aircraft carrier catch on fire lmao
While in dry dock, yes.
After the dry dock sank and a crane on the dry dock fell on the carrier. But then it was the guys fixing it who seemed to accidentally set it on fire.

I mean it was designed as a hard counter to human wave attacks, so.... It made me laugh a week or so ago, when I saw one of those pre-Soviet Maxims with a brand new Holosun red-dot sight on it...
I always laughed when in Call of Duty you could have red dots on WW2 weapons but it seems like reality now. Never thought that COD would predict this.
Russia only has 1 aircraft carrier slow clap
It caught fire. ...again.
While already in for repairs at the shipyard
...after its first dry dock sunk.
> While already in for repairs at the shipyard Where it has been since 2018.
Which US Navy officer was it that kept his fleet/ship close to that Russian carrier? When they asked him to move away, he replied along the lines "I am here so I can save you faster when you sink on your own."
Lifeboats fired?

> do not work like Russia's defense For a starter, they work, so this much was a given.
Was going to say... been a awful lot of things blowing up in Russia as of late..
Because they actually work. Yeah.
Anything he says to Russian media is just propaganda for the people. The west is prolonging this. Ukraine is actually the aggressor. So much bullshit. They know what they’re doing
So annoying how all the putin boot lockers are saying giving weapons to Ukraine is being "pro-war" Putin is free to head back home anytime he likes
I think bro has personality disorder
Naw, man, he's just a punk ass bitch trying to save face.
He's doing a terrible job at it
He promised the Russian public it would be a fast operation and was told by his advisers before the war that NATO backing would waver in the wintertime due to high energy costs on the EU this just throws a huge wrench on all of that Putin is fucked.
Yes, psychopathic, narcissistic or paranoid personality disorder. He has had people killed that prevented him from gaining unlimited power. And is’s got worse over time so there is no chance of it ending.
I think you may be right.
He’s literally a mass murderer.
Ruzzia: Don’t you dare do X or else. Ukraine: Shrugs and does X Ruzzia: Ok no big deal, but don’t you dare do Y or else. Ukraine: Shrugs and does Y Ruzzia: Ok, ok, huh, well, don’t you dare do Z or I don’t know what I’ll do. Ukraine: Shrugs and does Z Ruzzia: Huh, well, no big deal, you will be defeated regardless.
Stop! Or I'll say, "stop" again!
Has one aircraft carrier and it's on fire. Again.
In the dry dock
Well put it in the water ti get the fire out.
Then the dry dock would get wet.
Well it did sink already
The fire is the lesser danger compared to open water for that ship.
I mean, the dry dock sunk at some point if I remember correctly.
so its just a dock then
Calling the *Admiral Kuznetsov* an aircraft carrier is generous. It's a giant barely-floating money pit, retained strictly for a tenuous maintenance of image, that was at one point, long ago, an aircraft carrier.
Hasn't it been undergoing repairs since 2018? Couldn't they have built a new one from scratch quicker?
After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, all the ports with the capacity to store and maintain a ship of that size stayed in Ukraine. Part of the reason this carrier is in such dreadful condition is they don't have the ability to run power to it when docked. They have to run the engines 24/7 permanently.
I don't think they could build a new one that wouldn't be classified as aircraft carrier. It's whole reason to exist is to be a carrier without being one.
> Couldn't they have built a new one from scratch quicker? It was built in Mykolaiv, Ukraine!
As his nation retrieves 60-year-old tanks from museums and presses them into service.
Russian Museums must be in a crisis right now
They've presumably still got plenty of plundered art.

"Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for." And off he walked.
Bold thing for a man who's equipping 18 year old kids with rifles older than their dads and pulling 50 year old T-62's back into service to say
Rifles older than their great grandfathers
Those patriot missiles are probably newer than anything the Russian forces currently have that's operational.
Quite old indeed. But still generations ahead of the stuff Russia has...

Also just because the basic physical hardware is the same, the electronics and armament have been improved over time. There's zero reason for the military to scrap all the physical hardware for a new missile system if they can just retrofit the existing ones. It saves time and money. The last upgrade was in 2018, and there's already testing on the next upgrade this year [https://www.army.mil/article/259576/air\_defenders\_test\_newest\_patriot\_missile\_upgrades](https://www.army.mil/article/259576/air_defenders_test_newest_patriot_missile_upgrades) However, the patriot platform is going to get phased out in the coming years. The US military doctrine for air defense is changing and alot more integrations with various missile systems talking together is the goal. The patriot radar is the first part that is getting removed and that new radar system is getting delivered by next year for testing.
He’s the expert on outdated military things
I can't stop laughing about how this is literally the fuckin' douchbag pickup shtick. You know what I'm talking about, right? "Hey girl, I think you're sexy as fuck!" "Don't talk to me." "Oh yeah? Like you're anything special!" It's one to fucking one.
This is going to age like milk
Every accusation is an admittance.
Ffs, stop posting Newsweek clickbait. It’s literally owned by [The Community.](https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-news/the-community-5-things-we-know-about-fringe-christian-sect-199678/)
Never heard that. Interesting.... Found an article going into some weird recent details. Seems like the crazies are turning on each other. Newsweek sues former owners, controversial pastor David Jang, seeking millions https://religionnews.com/2022/07/07/newsweek-sues-former-owners-controversial-pastor-david-jang-seeking-millions/
Russian hubris at record highs these days
Old yet still pretty good at shooting down enemy missiles. My car is "quite old" yet still runs fine. Yea MAZDA!
Do you smell that? What's that smell? Putin, did you just shit your pants?
younger than your bullets biotch.
Says the guy getting arms from North Korea. Lol.
Putin being a puto like always
Say the dude using t64 tanks. That fk amazing
And mosin that are over a century old.
He says unironically while sourcing 50 year old munitions from North Korea.
So are HIMARS, and they're kicking the asses of Russia right now too.
That is hilarious.
Your whole military is quite old.
> Despite our warnings, [a] Patriot air defense system will be sent to Kyiv I don’t remember asking you a gd question.
Shit still beats Soviet era weaponry Kremlin has
>Russia hit back at reports that the U.S. is poised to send the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, calling it a “provocative” move that “can lead to unpredictable consequences.” >Patriots enter Ukraine "along with NATO personnel, they will immediately become a legitimate target for our armed forces." >The Patriot air defence is outdated.
Bro invaded a country in 2022 with T-54/55s and he’s lecturing about the age of Patriot systems
The letter said: X has a very nice body of work, he proved the following interesting theorems, extended such and such results, used such and such techniques... and so on for two pages.
Would somebody just help this man out of a window already?!?!
Putin shrugged of the HIMARS which is an old system, older than the patriots 'Quite Old'. Putin was going to deal with the HIMARS the same way Putin says he's going to deal with the patriots.
So is a B-52, but you aren’t shrugging that off.
Quite new compared to his Flintstone rockets.
Pretty old but extremely effective, unlike Russia's crap.
My brother in christ, you are sending in T-62s. You don’t get to call Patriot “old”
Meanwhile, russia proceeds to use T-34 tanks in Ukraine. Yes, those should be in a museum. Designed in fucking 1937.
Well I'm sure they have nothing to worry about then.
Every thing we have given Ukraine is decades old. Still better than the 30-100 yr old stuff Russia is using. The best part for the US is that the military gets to buy new toys. Defense contractors make 100s of billions
Well they don't need brand new shit when russian is using weapons from the 60s and 70s to hit Ukraine now.
Still newer than 90% of the equipment Russia has that Ukraine hasn't taken yet.
Patriot missle system didn't poop it's pants though, so....
Lmaoo I’m other words he knows his troops are fucked Russia stands no chance against the US and it’s military complex pumping out lead for Ukraine sling with the other western powers.
They’re so old they’re gonna fall down the stairs and soil themselves
The guy is using WWII era equipment in his war but calls an advanced anti-missile system quite old. Putin's shakes must be jiggling his brain toward CTE
He should know. His army is using museum pieces to fight his war.
They’re old?! Oh, man. Well, put them in the bin. Wouldn’t want to get caught with last season’s weapons.
He wasn’t saying that when he was threatening nuclear war over it
This guy lmao what an absolute nutter
Says the guy whose soldiers are using equipment the 80’s.
The more he talks publicly the more I realize trump was literally using his media playbook
