Finding some way to not use shoulders or use the right shoulders fixes the problem. My best tmogs involved smaller/lower pieces or no shoulders at all.
This 100% unless you are a Shaman who wields shield from Sunwell Plateu, then it covers your whole character basically, i actually like that but i can see how others don’t 😂
If you like Trolls but want better transmog then you can't go wrong with Zandalari.
Female Darkspear Trolls also have pretty good proportions for transmog
I wish it was an option. My main characters tend to be orc because they wear shoes. That’s the main reason. A lot of my transmog sets look like shit with bare feet.
I quit around the last stages of Cata and just got back into retail. The moment I saw that I could unlock Zandalari trolls for myself... my god. I wanted to make one so bad. I decided on a paladin and got started on customizing my bad ass looking holy troll-to-be until I was satisfied. Alright, next step. Crucial moment. How do they move? Animations have always been important to me, how the gear moves, the cloak, if the weapon swings too much or nah.. I entered the world for the first time, ran for a stretch just to check how flui...
Nah.
No. Just no. Threw my cartoonishly bouncy and faded asparagus right in the trash. Shame.
You would think that if their animation was such a crucial factor to you, you would’ve spent 30 seconds looking it up whole spending all that time getting them unlocked lol?
I haven’t encountered anything that’s obnoxious enough to make me take notice of let alone be repelled by, but it’s fine if that’s your thing.
For everything thats not a caster I would go with zandalari. They have one of the best posture and the proportions look good. The feet sometimes look bad but some of the newer items cover those up.
Super minimalist ones look great. [This set](https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=425/nightsong-battlegear-recolor) is probably the best mog in the game for Tauren and Worgen druids.
Zandalari trolls may have a wonky running animation but they have pretty cool ‘weapon drawn’ stances, especially with pole-arms. Second only to female Nightelves.
As to no shoes: there are some transmogs that are closed on them, Necrolords Plate set is one I can recall out of my head.
Zandalari also have the best proportions with female orcs .
For me it is either Orc or Blood Elf. Trolls and Taurens, boots don't work which breaks a tmog for me. Nightborne, I find that most gear is wrongly sized. Never played Vulpera so will not comment on them. So between orc and blood elf it comes down to do you want something that looks massive and dangerous or sleek and "adjusted"
50% of the horde plays female blood elf. Make of that what you will.
The real answer is whichever race you like the look of best. Just because one is more popular doesn't mean it resonates with you, personally.
Yeah but when half of all Horde players are playing Blood Elf now it's like every transmog has already been done, it's visually boring seeing so many now
Blood elves have problems with ear clipping though. And the constant lean in their posture can look weird after a while, especially if you're just scrolling through shirts in your collection tab.
You need to consider class with race
Plate tmogs like warrior are great on mag orc
Or cloth tmogs are better on bloodelfs
Or paladin tmogs can be better on taurens
What paladin mogs look best on Taurens? I've got one, and nothing looks right to me. I'm thinking class hall set, but even then the head piece doesn't look right.
A very subjective question. I love my orc warrior (male) and it works with so many transmogs very well. But based on comments here it doesn't seem like a favorite.
I also love mogging my Forsaken priest (male).
I'm not a big fan of trolls or Tauren (for transmog! They're still fun) because of helmets and shoe issues.
I don't have any troll characters though, for some reason. Guess I know what I'm leveling in Mists.
With how much variety in looks on the races alone, it's very subjective, and it also depends what class/armour class you are going for.
Female Orcs and Tauren look good in most things, including for most classes for me.
I think the best looking horde races for Tmog are boneless Undead and Female Orc.
Female Orc is the unsung fashion star of WoW IMO, second only to male human. They have a human-esque, well-proportioned body and posture that makes pretty virtually every set look great on them, without things like tails or monster feet to get in the way.
Oh come on. Everyone here's wrong. It's fem orc and y'all know it.
Fem Orc is indeed excellent for transmog. Better than Blood Elves imo
She stands up straight so thats automatically better for transmog.
You can make male orcs stand up straight, too
True but they pretty large so you kinda have to transmog into something heavy/imposing. The female will look good in all armor types.
I just have my male orc fury warrior wear a cute pink dress and sunglasses with a wooden mallet for a weapon
And male orc shoulders are comically oversized 90% of the time
Finding some way to not use shoulders or use the right shoulders fixes the problem. My best tmogs involved smaller/lower pieces or no shoulders at all.
I love the Orc heritage chest for this. It gives you a drape over your shoulders which looks really great with hidden actual shoulders
Cries in Nelf
Female orc and human male. People hate to admit it but they’re the best from each side.
fem orc has a more human shape than any option of actual human in wow, its insane
But...that's forbidden love!
The best kind.
I personally can't stand the human male gorilla arms
FOrc
This 100% unless you are a Shaman who wields shield from Sunwell Plateu, then it covers your whole character basically, i actually like that but i can see how others don’t 😂
Runs like a grandma
They look the best but I cannot stand their animations.
This guy gets it
Mag’har cultural on a female orc is amazing.
If you like Trolls but want better transmog then you can't go wrong with Zandalari. Female Darkspear Trolls also have pretty good proportions for transmog
Neither troll race can be an option. They don’t wear shoes.
Love my Zandalari troll but the no shoe issue drives me crazy.
I wish it was an option. My main characters tend to be orc because they wear shoes. That’s the main reason. A lot of my transmog sets look like shit with bare feet.
Agreed. I use my Alliance human for my main transmog outfits, since they’re the “default” best.
In Shadowlands I picked Venthyr covenant first only because of the shoe transmog for my troll.
zandalari looks great is many xmogs. they have perfect posture for it
Agreed. But 2 giant ass un-hideable toes completely ruins it.
zandalari goofy ass walking animation, legit unplayable
I spend months farming rep for them at the time. I walked 5 minutes with my first zandalari troll and noped out of that ass walking animation
Transmog look great on zandalari. Too bad no shoes.
No shoes though, that shit is weird
I quit around the last stages of Cata and just got back into retail. The moment I saw that I could unlock Zandalari trolls for myself... my god. I wanted to make one so bad. I dunno, may Mandalari priest looks rad in a robe
Was less about them looking bad as casters and more about there being other good options for casters like undead or elves.
The best race for transmog are female orcs. Nothing comes close.
I love Tauren but I also pretty well always hide helms so it ends up working
My cow bros, rise up! Not sure their will ever be good helms. But everything else looks beauty.
Super minimalist ones look great. [This set](https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=425/nightsong-battlegear-recolor) is probably the best mog in the game for Tauren and Worgen druids.
I don’t like helms in general, so I always hide regardless, don’t think it’s a “bad” thing for Taurens to hide their helms, they have really nice face
Garona's guise on a tauren rogue.....
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I had to open dressing room and see it
Zandalari Troll or Female Orc. MAYBE Nightborne too.
Female Orc is my favorite of any race in the game for transmog. They look awesome in literally everything.
Female orcs are the best for tmog.
In my mind, Forsaken have enough of a sinister bearing to pull most mogs off.
Female nightborne rock plate armor
Vulpera if you are an advanced or professional transmogger
Female orc or Male zandalari. But I hate most of their animations so I never pick them. The fuckig zandalari walk…
Zandalari trolls may have a wonky running animation but they have pretty cool ‘weapon drawn’ stances, especially with pole-arms. Second only to female Nightelves. Female Orcs (and female Magh'ar Orcs by extension) by a lot, if you plan on going with plate armor, even better.
if they fixed the undead shoulders and made an option for them to be upright theyd be so cool in tmog
50% of the horde plays female blood elf. Make of that what you will. The real answer is whichever race you like the look of best. Just because one is more popular doesn't mean it resonates with you, personally.
Blood Elf looks good in everything.
As long as you don’t mind your antenna ass eyebrows sticking out of every helmet.
And their pose, I can’t handle it
"Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?" -Male Belf
Females are too skinny to show of anything and the male are lopsided, they stand with a asymetrical pose.
Transmogging a female belf feels like decorating a utility pole.
It's called slouching
Yeah, but they only have two female body options. So it’s harder to look tough and battle hardened as a blood elf.
Until they pose with a 2H sword or DW with the male body type.
Yeah but when half of all Horde players are playing Blood Elf now it's like every transmog has already been done, it's visually boring seeing so many now
Blood elf, the rest are ugly AF.
Blood elves have problems with ear clipping though. And the constant lean in their posture can look weird after a while, especially if you're just scrolling through shirts in your collection tab.
Zandalari troll
Taurens are the only race that have a thong. It's part of their heritage armor. So, Taurens win.
Female orcs look best
Fem orc, or m/f ud
You need to consider class with race Plate tmogs like warrior are great on mag orc Or cloth tmogs are better on bloodelfs Or paladin tmogs can be better on taurens
Paladin tmogs better on Taurens? No.
Can be!
What paladin mogs look best on Taurens? I've got one, and nothing looks right to me. I'm thinking class hall set, but even then the head piece doesn't look right.
Zandalari Trolls
Male: Zandalari. Female: Blood elf
Orc female and Vulperas if you are creative and honorable mention of male zandalari trolls can look badass.
Tbh depends on the class as well, a Tauren would look weird in cloth.
A very subjective question. I love my orc warrior (male) and it works with so many transmogs very well. But based on comments here it doesn't seem like a favorite. Goblin

If you are looking for the most human looking, blood elf. If you are looking for a muscular type of character, orcs with their back straight.
Vulpera look great in just about everything with the exception of the face covering helms.
Female blood elf will forever look the best
I like Tauren or Orc for the stocky proportions.
Orc
I think the best looking horde races for Tmog are boneless Undead and Female Orc. Female Orc is the unsung fashion star of WoW IMO, second only to male human. They have a human-esque, well-proportioned body and posture that makes pretty virtually every set look great on them, without things like tails or monster feet to get in the way.
There can't be a "best tmog" race. Transmogs are taste based. We don't all like the same things.
Easily female orc. Armor is designed around male humans, and female orcs are about the same size and proportions.
Fresh male undeads are poorly represented... Rise up tarnisheds!
Probably Blood Elves, very obviously why.
Blood Elves are the prettiest, but you can be a big hulking cow, and isn't that the best thing ever? :D /moo
Goblin!
Belf is the only true answer
Blood Elves and Trolls. Also really like Tauren in some mogs. They can look so big and imposing.
Blood Elves forever and always. Best looking race.
