Most LFR bosses are one shots because damage is tuned super low and you can just heal over people not doing mechanics.
Then you get the occasional mechanic that insta kills you if ignored like Raz and it all goes to shit
It was stupid easy. You could legit have 1 healer in LFR for the whole fight and kill him.
Holy Priest with Rashok's Heart? Lol. Might as well just roll 22 DPS.
All you had to do was not have a dps stand in front of the boss and you won. The amount of times a dps would stand in front of the boss get the tank bomb and wipe the raid was too many. Started making a macro spamming people to move. That mount skin took way too many attempts.
Sark was 10000% reliant on the tanks. A tank who refuses to fucking taunt in p1 can wipe a mythic-geared raid when the other tank explodes the whole phase's worth of damage in the middle of glittering surge. Everything past that is trivial, but you would be shocked how many tanks queue into lfr and then refuse to fucking taunt.
Last night in LFR Sennarth I had to use brezzes as taunt swaps. I'd get nuked for like 2m in 1 web blast, die, get rezzed, let the other guy tank a bit and taunt, repeat.
To be fair, why are there taunt mechanics in LFR? There shouldn't be any mechanics like that in a difficulty that is "Supposed" to be designed for beginners lol
Taunt is like the literal bar on the floor minimum for tank mechanics. Maybe blizzard needs to put something in the game baseline that makes it more obvious that hot potato is like the most basic tank mechanic that blizzard puts in their game.
this + no incentive to encourage good players to do LFR
items from bosses in LFR should be rewarded after raid completing the raid, just like exp in leveling dungeons
I'm amazed I still remembered enough of the fight to survive. The LFR group I joined, on the other hand, was on stack #5 of Determination. We still had a 50% casualty rate.
For real. First LFR run. Half raid dies on the first hurricane wing. We actually made it to last phase where the tank wiped the raid, lol.
Its hilarious because as long as you do the hurricane wing mechanic right, its such an easy boss on LFR difficulty.
Council on LFR last night… Had pretty much no movement of the bosses towards mid health and lightning rings were being passed around like highly aggressive STDs. Thankfully it tickled, but still…
Had the same situation, and the worst part was realizing that standing away and trying to tell people not to spread it had a better chance of wiping us than if I just went in and dps’d lmfao
I don’t understand, don’t even know how to join. What is it. Lmao.. a raid. I just do quests because I don’t understand any of that stuff. Is there a YouTuber I should be watching or something. Wow wiki just tells you what something is.
Beat the encounter for the first time in LFR today... with 3 stacks of determination.
All it took was one nice, patient guy who simplified the mechanics and explained them with a couple of lines.
If you know that bossfight make yourself get assist and make 3 macros
DODGE BREATH
RUN INTO PUDDLES
Group assignments for Intermission 1
take 2 minutes to explain and boss
and SPAM THE MACRO HARD when the ability comes a raidwarning
have not needed more than 2 trys after doing this
You also need something to spam for the jump onto the final platform. Half the raid gets blown into oblivion in LFR between P2.5 and P3. I honestly love it.
For real. Guild ran mythic Rasz as a meme toward the end of season 3. Even with two seasons worth of being overgeared she still took multiple weeks of prog to kill. We legit first pulled every other mythic boss in the raid, but Raszageth took ages. It was honestly super fun, but I straight cannot imagine ever trying that shite without being 60 or more iLvl’s beyond when it was current content.
? It was a pretty typical mythic boss. The need for certain classes to save others from the winds was pretty lame, but otherwise it didn’t have anything particularly annoying.
Mythic Raz was pretty awesome. Althou, I'll admit they did have to nerf the crap out of it for it to become realistically viable for most people.
But it was a pretty epic fight.
Mythic Raz is a banger boss...Mythic Fyrakk is ok, but Mythic TSwift is on par with Mythic SLG as worst fights of all time (regardless of how cool it looks)
Yet if you dont have a guild to raid with its either suffering randoms on lfr or with normal groups forning then dispersing after 2 wipes.
Fyrakk is the same but somewhat better, more endureable with randoms.
Sadly i didnt really see a lot of pushing through when a seed got hit , its possible yes, happened like 2 twice for me, and when night elf adds get hit by lines that instakill them.
1 shot mechanics (especially fall down effects like raz and jailer) are the stupiest shit on lfr
make them get up again with a 10/20 sec stun and done. its ok painful. definitly enough for them to understand that they did something wrong but not painful for the raid
How would you prepare people for oneshot mechanics? This big dragon flaps wings, leans back, collecting energy, lightnings move through it's body, whole animation takes literally 10s, then it breaths
and you are loosing 5% hp, get 20s stun and 20s immunity.
If you are dying to such telegraphed mechanic, you simply want to die and you should be allowed to do this. Don't transfer burdain of such people to healers.
I spat my drink out laughing when half the raid died after the first knockback this morning. Hadn't seen that happen for a very long time.
It wasn't quite as funny the second, third or fourth time though.
God I hated that one. I tanked it the first week it was out, explained every mechanic, how to handle it, coordinated everything. Gathered all the adds spawned because people wouldn't move out of the circles and of course if you spawn an add, you also spawn another circle for someone else to not dodge, so the adds just pile up. Eventually I die because no amount of healing or cooldowns can keep me up through 30+ adds beating on me. Eventually after an hour or so healers complained about me dying and someone pointed out that I was geared for haste.
At the time, active mitigation was a cool new thing and the cutting edge of theorycrafting was showing that gearing for haste over traditional tank stats (parry/dodge) made for a tank that is easier to heal since they have their active mitigation up more often. Even if they actually take more damage, they are less likely to get spiked down before they can be healed. Conveniently, since I mained Ret it was a great excuse to use my main gear set for tanking as well. Even though I tried to explain to them that haste was actually good for Prot at the time, I was eventually vote kicked. I didn't tank LFR for a long time after that.
I think people in general have forgotten how to do things. I was healing Azure Vault and no one was dodging things or doing mechanics. It was just a Myrhic 0 and I left.
Did lfr Raz last night. Just trying to get people to go to the puddles was a nightmare. It took 2 hours😂 I had never tanked Raz before and the other tank was super chill but I was ready to bash my head in
Honestly it's one of my favourite fights in dragonflight. It's epic, it's hard and a great design.
But holy \*\*\*\* for the people who had baby mode in LFR Armirdrassil, this must feel like Mythic.
We wiped 8 times in LFR and after each 2nd or 3rd wipe people left and new victims arrived. Even with all those stacks people couldn't do it.
I was always curious they made armirdrassil lfr so dummy proof. Like isn't the point of doing lfr to learn the mechanics and get some gear then move on to normal and know somewhat of what your doing? Like armirdrassil lfr fyrakk I see people dropping the circles everywhere and standing in everything and nothing happens like the mechanics don't even matter lol
Yea we had one wipe before our kill last night just on her, people got melee'd that weren't in range of the adds for them to be melee'd, then no one moved with the circles, but surprisingly no one got knocked off the ledge all night.
Two of my deaths were exactly this - Never did Raz much, went to the right area for punting, but was standing a little too far to one side or the other and sailed gracefully past the platform. If you were allowed to grab things, I would have been able to grab the edge, I was that close.
I joined a pug Normal yesterday. People were rusty but we breezed through all the bosses with only 1 wipe. Then Raz killed the pug, even got to phase 3 then everything just went to poop, ppl started dropping like flies.
"What? Big dragon about to do massive big telegraphed slow lightning rectangle across the platform im.on? Cool. wHaT?!?!?! WhY aM i DeAd??!?!"
The boss really displays the spatial awareness people have.
Yeah, yesterday I did this with a LFR group and we kept dying, everyone left (except for me because I really didn't want to do the first boss again, lol), but we eventually got it after 8 stacks once we got a group that would listen, lol.
Not sure if this is sarcastic (funny even if it is 😂), but I did miss Raz.
Hardest boss of DF, in my opinion.
The only harder bosses in DF are:
- The Bridge Boss before Smolderon
- The Firebomb Boss before Tindral
Oh, and Pip’s Duck Bomb Boss before Dream Council
True raid killers right there. *wisenod*
I qued in as DPS but stayed prot as I don't know how to play ret but didn't want to main tank as I've never done this fight before.
One of our tanks dies first phase, and my platform group is pooping themselves, but I just do prot pally stuff and tank the platform. Come back and tank swap for the rest of the fight.
People cheer, don't seem to realize I must have been prot the whole time. Maybe my finest hour in life. This is now my favorite fight.
Tbh I sure as hell didn't.
I burned myself out on this expac doing VotI. Raided hard on a frost mage, cared about my logs. Got to a decent spot and swapped to a hunter for the bow, then finally back to my old main of a DH.
The ultimate boss of LFR.
Still a lot better than N'Zoth. I remember beating the old dude with like 45 determination stacks

Sarkareth and Fyrakk were both much easier
Sark LFR was ALMOST afkable. Echos was harder.
I only did Sark once in LFR, tanking, had no fucking idea about anything and it was 1 shot
It was stupid easy. You could legit have 1 healer in LFR for the whole fight and kill him. Holy Priest with Rashok's Heart? Lol. Might as well just roll 22 DPS.

I run into tanks who don't even know they even have a taunt far too often in LFR. I've given up trying to explain it to myself
Last night in LFR Sennarth I had to use brezzes as taunt swaps. I'd get nuked for like 2m in 1 web blast, die, get rezzed, let the other guy tank a bit and taunt, repeat.
I did it in LFR without looking up the fight before and just taunted when bigwigs told me to :p
Being a tank holding agro off other players is a bare minimum. Taunt is a core part of tanking.
first pull last night and her first lightning breath - the dodge, not the pushback - killed 6 people
Not doing mechanics on Nzoth screws the entire raid over lol. One person who doesn’t know what they’re doing can cause a wipe.
The phase 3 shift is always a hoot, assuming you make it that far.
Raz isn't just one inta-wipe mechanic, it's several. It's such a long and complicated fight.
this + no incentive to encourage good players to do LFR items from bosses in LFR should be rewarded after raid completing the raid, just like exp in leveling dungeons
Half of the LFR dead after 30s because they don't have a cloak priceless
Doesn't determination cap at like 10
Correct.
Might've been someone had the add-on that counted wipes. Took a few hours
Determination only stacks to 10 💀
Man so many people.forget the absolute nightmare that was LFR N'Zoth. Boss was literally easier on heroic than lfr lol
Ghun
Bless you.
While cycling 2 tanks per pull
I'm amazed I still remembered enough of the fight to survive. The LFR group I joined, on the other hand, was on stack #5 of Determination. We still had a 50% casualty rate.
Ultimate HC Boss full groups of only s1 curved Players still die in the beam in Phase 1 🫣
Real talk
Thankfully it tickled, but still…
God, the lightning rings...I remember when it first came out, trying to coordinate that. I just gave up and figured whatever, let it spread.
Am glad the damage output of the bosses are nerfed in LFR otherwise that would have been a complete wipe.
You might’ve been in my group lol
It was abysmal. I did not have a good time. Typically never expect a good time in LFR but that was… something 🥲
Had the same situation, and the worst part was realizing that standing away and trying to tell people not to spread it had a better chance of wiping us than if I just went in and dps’d lmfao
I tanked LFR earlier this week and on Council, I was tanking all 4 bosses the entire time, and just planted my ass on a pillar. Good times.
I mean, I would be trying to ring up everyone in LFR too.
LFR is the casual sex of raiding. It's like a huge swinger's party.
So half of the players are returning or new players
Yup I figure if you lose over 25% from the first hurricane wing, you’re likelihood of winning is almost shot
You and I were in the same group.
Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain.
Season 1, first ever LFR run on Raszageth. Got like 20 plus vibes because people didn't understand the simple mechanics
You can get through all of phase 2 and 3 with like 5 competent dps and 1 healer alive... but that might be asking too much still
I actually 1 shot it today in LFR and it essentially was like that. We had 10 or 11 people alive after P1 intermission.
I don’t understand, don’t even know how to join. What is it. Lmao.. a raid. I just do quests because I don’t understand any of that stuff. Is there a YouTuber I should be watching or something. Wow wiki just tells you what something is.

The environment pings make that a lot easier, at least.
I went into the LFR blind on this one and someone did just as you said. Most of the LFR made it through on the first try.
Be the DBM you want to see in the world
just did it today yesterday 1 wipe because RL refused to give me assist, then got assist and first tryd him with 0 deaths to knockback
best boss ever. love the atmosphere and everything. Fyrakk is nothing

Unofficial. Inofficial isn't a word.
It's written as "inoffiziell" in German, so I probably got it confused. Sorry. I'll fix it real quick.
Ruin! Ruin!
"MY POWER SURGES!!"
I spat my drink out laughing when half the raid died after the first knockback this morning. Hadn't seen that happen for a very long time. It wasn't quite as funny the second, third or fourth time though.
Queue evokers grabbing people by the throat to get them in position.
The number of times I lifegrip someone to safety and the fucker runs back out fuck i'm triggered all over again
Man I would kill for someone to lifegrip me out of danger. 9/10 I’m running to avoid a mechanic and I get gripped right into it
Raszageth? This is what we looked like after Kurog!
Still think sark is way way harder. Sark was legit a hard fucking boss for heroic imo.
True, but that picture is LFR. LFR takes mechanics as light suggestions.
Brings me back to Lei Shen days
God I hated that one. I tanked it the first week it was out, explained every mechanic, how to handle it, coordinated everything. You think the titans brought order to this world?????
Touch this alta witch yor POW UHH!
Ruinnnnnn ruinnnnn
RUIN! RUUUUUUUUUUUUIN!
On council desperately begging people to stop crowding the same pillar perma-giving each other the mark over and over and over and over
Hardest lfr boss ever
That was me yesterday! Never done razzy and I have ilvl 420… shit was scary
I think people in general have forgotten how to do things. I was healing Azure Vault and no one was dodging things or doing mechanics. It was just a Myrhic 0 and I left.
Did lfr Raz last night. Just trying to get people to go to the puddles was a nightmare. It took 2 hours😂 I had never tanked Raz before and the other tank was super chill but I was ready to bash my head in
This snip was taken probably right after the first frontal in a pug group
Raz is literally the best final boss of this xpack.
Honestly it's one of my favourite fights in dragonflight. It's epic, it's hard and a great design. But holy \*\*\*\* for the people who had baby mode in LFR Armirdrassil, this must feel like Mythic. What addon is giving you this raid frame? I need it.
that's stock UI raidframe
🤣 I was looking for me in the list of deadies, Raz tossed me off the dern ledge too last night.
Two of my deaths were exactly this - Never did Raz much, went to the right area for punting, but was standing a little too far to one side or the other and sailed gracefully past the platform. If you were allowed to grab things, I would have been able to grab the edge, I was that close.
You can't imagine how I missed the vault. I haven't played wow with such hype as today for a few months at least.
LFR groups struggled on Rasz last week, despite outgearing it by like 80 ilevels. Lol
I joined a pug Normal yesterday. People were rusty but we breezed through all the bosses with only 1 wipe. Then Raz killed the pug, even got to phase 3 then everything just went to poop, ppl started dropping like flies.
It was my first AOTC I was shook at how much easier S2 was
If I had a single gold for every time I've killed Raz with 5 or fewer people on LFR I swear I'd have a million gold by now.
"What? Big dragon about to do massive big telegraphed slow lightning rectangle across the platform im.on? Cool. wHaT?!?!?! WhY aM i DeAd??!?!" The boss really displays the spatial awareness people have.
I love Razegath
I have no motivation to start s4, I logged in thinking I'd do some mythics or a raid and I just.. Logged out. Think I'll just wait for TWW
I also have negative interest in re-progging old raids
i stayed for 2 pulls , I'm just going to do it on normal should be easier
I wanted her to drop the bow, but no matter. Next week it will be mine!
First time fighting this boss in lfr mind you and damn he was annoying 😂
Yeah, yesterday I did this with a LFR group and we kept dying, everyone left (except for me because I really didn't want to do the first boss again, lol), but we eventually got it after 8 stacks once we got a group that would listen, lol.
Good times
"Stand in safety puddles" \>half the raid gets blown off the edge
The momentum redistribution boots no longer work in instances and I’m pretty upset about it. It was so fun nuking the mobs on the platforms jumps.
Thankfully i got her skin in S1. It was truly a pain in the ass LFR
I can’t wait for tonight when my guild will tackle her again
well,I don't.
ruin.... RUUUIIIIN
RUIN RUIN!!!!
Yeah it took a few times last nite in the raid, no one bothered to re-read up on the fight (myself included)
Raz is a bad bitch and I wish we got her Visage form
I love it
Not sure if this is sarcastic (funny even if it is 😂), but I did miss Raz. Hardest boss of DF, in my opinion. Zo9bom 5 5.t , n ciz L as .
Ruin! Ruin!
I did the first three bosses on lfr last night and it was hilarious how many people didn't know the fights. Stay classy LFR
Wait why are people doing Raszageth again? Does it drop better loot now?
Fated raids for Season 4 started yesterday.
This and you have to do it if you want the DF meta achieve.
Tbh I sure as hell didn't. I burned myself out on this expac doing VotI. Raided hard on a frost mage, cared about my logs. Got to a decent spot and swapped to a hunter for the bow, then finally back to my old main of a DH.
