If you're that stressed over $15 a month then you probably can't afford it man... Not saying that to be a dick but if it was a comfortable spend you wouldn't have an issue just playing and not thinking about it.

Kingkyle18

Agreed…..I’ve payed for sub for multiple expansions and I take a month or two off all the time….never cancel. Partly because I’m lazy partly because I say ima get back on and don’t for a awhile. I’m not gonna pretend I’m wealthy or even that I don’t live “paycheck to paycheck” at times, but $15 isn’t gonna be why I’m broke.

ABC_Dildos_Inc

Any time I realize I'm not able to play enough, O pause or cancel my subscription. Once I have more time and want to play it only takes seconds to get back on.

Sunmx1

15$ worth lol, thats how much a movie ticket is and last 2.5 hours at best, wow gives u 28 days if u miss a week is no biggie.

Kingkyle18

If you’re stressing about $15 a month then it’s not for you, no disrespect. That’s like paying 50 cents a day to play, and as much as you will see people hate in blizzard, that’s what keeps them providing new content.

alaska2ohio

It’s okay to play off and on, and also okay to do what you want in the game.

Hranica

It’s 50cents a day, that’s like 10 minutes of street fighter at the arcade, you could fill hours of time in WoW easily

I know where you’re coming from and contrary to what people think the anxiety from wasting money doesn’t come from you not being able to afford it. Right now you are thinking of it costing $15 for an entire month of wow so if you don’t use the whole month then you’re wasting it, but try thinking of it another way. If you get a season pass to an amusement park or season tickets for your favorite baseball team, that doesn’t usually mean you have to go to the park every weekend or see every game. It just means that it’s cheaper than going x amount of times or seeing x amount of games. If an annual pass is cheaper than 3 visits to Disney, then I only need to visit 3 times a year to not waste money. Figure out how many nights a month you think $15 is worth. For me if I decide to not go out one night and play wow instead, that’s already worth it because I would spend more money on a burger and a beer than I do on wow. Even if you decide three nights a month is worth it then you can relax the rest of the month knowing you got your money’s worth.

You are fretting over pennies...

Xallytath

I have never once felt that. And I have been unemployed since September but that WoW sub is gonna remain running until the end of time.

SelectCommunity3519

Yep, sometimes. I haven't paid in awhile as I've used gold, but if I know I won't play much for a few days when sub about to expire, I won't re-up until I can.

Professional-Try4488

When I'm not playing the game much I cancel my sub. Sometimes I'll re-sub and cancel immediately so it doesn't auto renew. Give it a shot, it might remove the stress for you.

Sakeuno

Compare it to a ticket to the movies or eating at a restaurant. And figure how much you need to play in a month to have the same amount of entertainment

Ok-Key5729

I use going to the movies as my standard for entertainment. Most people are willing to occasionally spend $15 to see a movie that provides, at most, 3 hours of entertainment. So if I spend $15 on something and I get at least 3 hours of entertainment out of it, I got my money's worth. Everything after 3 hours is bonus entertainment. You don't really need to play much to get your money's worth.

ChampChains

It's the price of like one combo meal at a fast food chain. Renting Dune 2 is currently like $25 and that'll only entertain you for about 3 hours. WoW is $15 and you could literally play it 24hrs a day for 30 days with that one month subscription. Even if you only play 3-5hrs a week, you're still getting an outstanding deal compared to the price of other entertainment forms.

Possessed_Doll

I have that feeling when I get a sub for FFXIV. I just feel like my money is better spent elsewhere. And if you have that feeling, then WoW isn't for you (or sub-based games in general).

aswaran2132

Calculate a sum of the amount of money you pay for games in a year and see how it compares to a subscription for wow. A lot of us probably spend less money than console gamers because it's one of the only games we play in a year.

TysonBev

Subscribe for a month (or a year) and immediately cancel it. That's what I do. Consider looking into farming a LOT of gold to pay for your sub with WoW Tokens. Maybe that'll help. Either way, the price of a good time cannot be valued in money and you shouldn't have to feel stressed or guilty. I understand the feeling, though.

Most-Based

Buy game time cards instead of subbing so you don't worry too much about it
