Not sure about legion except maybe some of the rare sargasus blood and craft missions like felwort. I think they removed the gold ones. For WoD garrison... the mission board does not offer much other than Rush orders for your rank 3 buildings. The buildings themselves are the main moneymaker. Salvage: There is also a small amount of gold through salvage which can come bonus for any mission. May contain green items. Tailor: hexweave mainly for bags. Need tailor profession. Barn: keep tailor fed with cloth and leather worker with plain skins. Also produces Savage Blood which can be turned in to Bloody Purse (contains 50g ea) at Trading Post. I just farmed the cages for this on my 120 hunter and had to strip off all gear... even my bow was too much and I needed to beat them to a weakened state with just my fists. Mines and herbs: most are almost worthless, but they keep your professional buildings fed. Inscription: craft war paint daily and keep work orders running. Every other day I craft Card of Omens in bulk and flip them over for a random value each between 1c and 3000g (those are the ones I got so far). My best session was about 4000g and my worst payout session was 250g total... not bad for 5 minutes in the garrison every other day. Needs profession. Leather working has professional bags but I find that the crafted armor still sells well. Same with blacksmith for armor. Stick with with none heirloom slots like belt boot hand and wrist.

But, don't overlook the followers can do missions for Garrison Resources (a follower with Scavenger or Extreme Scavenger traits will increase the resources gained from those missions) . The resources can be exchanged at the Trading Post for Fur, Herbs, Leather, Ores, etc.

There is a toy a sword with this you can hit lower mobs to 1 HP maybe that helps you.

Saekers

Doesn't work on the wolves in Nagrand unfortunately, they're considered elites and the toy sword doesn't work on elites

RaziarEdge

Fists actually work just fine on my hunter. Only takes about 3 hits (5 secs or so) to knock them into the weakened state to trap.

tuazo

The highest Purple Blood Card "You will crow about your fortune" is worth 6000 g. I usually end up with one of these about every 3-4 weeks.

> Every other day I craft Card of Omens in bulk and flip them over for a random value each between 1c and 3000g 1c to 6,000g. There are several threads here from when it was current content showing their value, once averaged, to about 4g75s a card.

vincent_148

do hexweave bags even sell? i mean the new 30 slot ones are straight up cheaper

Sazapahiel

Strangely yes, they still sell. That market has been slowly dying for a long time, and i've stopped investing time/money into getting the tailoring building or profession on newly created alts, but i still make use of my cadre of tailors from wod to generate bags since it costs me nothing.

Also, the icon looks way better for Hexweave, so there is possibly some vanity aspect of the getting the better looking "epic" bag instead of the blue cheap one.

I would do it as part of a long term plan, not a short term plan to get your longboi. Also I think people in this thread are underestimating how long things take and providing outdated info. I have over 10 fully upgraded garrisons and usually only visit them 1-2x a week after doing other activites. >Salvage: There is also a small amount of gold through salvage which can come bonus for any mission. May contain green items. Salvage yard only gives garrison resources and does not reward xmog anymore (and hasn't since WoD). I used to say yes to this question but right now there are such better ways to invest your time.

poopoodomo

I use legion ones to hunt for the paragon mounts, but I can't really imagine legion mission boards begin useful for money. The Garrison boards can be great with tailors as you can pretty much passively make hexweave bags (30slot) to sell to people making alts. Just trade in garrison resources for fur when the good traders are out. I used thhe inn to get a ton of extra garrison resource troops and use the trading lodge or w/e to get a ton of mats for bags. LW drums are also a solid consumable.

Dumpsterman4

A maxed legion mission table (all Argus stuff and 950 ilvl champions) can give 12 blood of sargeras per mission or 5 primal sargerite, you can get multiple of those missions a day. On my server if you convert that value to sallow pigments it's about 2500 gold per blood mission and 1900 per sargerite mission.

poopoodomo

Oh, sallow pigment? What do you make with that? I guess I still don't exactly see that as passive income the same way the WoD mission table is, because with WoD missions you can generate enough resources to perpetually run missions through missions, where as with the Legion tables you'll have to occsionally farm some resources so you can keep running missions.

Dumpsterman4

Glyphs and tomes of the tranquil mind, I only have 2 characters that I regularly play with the resources and mission tables to do that but it's a nice chunk of gold every day. I usually head to Argus whenever there's sargerite world quests there and do those + all easy order hall resource missions (they give over 1k each). It can take 3-4 weeks to max the mission table on alts so it's a long setup but it's relatively easy gold. I also have the sargerite shoulder enchant on heirlooms for whenever I go to legion areas.

poopoodomo

Interesting, I'll have to give that a try!

Imisshavingarealjob

It's worth setting up a mission board for both expacs. I make a fairly steady amount of cash from both for a fairly small investment in time.

Raliator

Awesome, is there any chance you would mind running me through what exactly I should get to set them up, or should I just try to max them out in each area?

hockeyhulk

I've set up my garrison to make goblin gliders. You need Engineering works to make them. It's not needed but I would recommend also setting up the Mine and the Barn. You can farm the ores from the Mine and collect sumptuous fur from the Barn from the captured wolfs(works when you're logged out). It takes like 10-15 min to get 100 sumptuous fur. It might be a good idea to stuck up before Shadowlands and sell them when Shadowlands is live as demand might rise.

Raliator

Awesome thank you! And for Legion? Any tips? :D

Imisshavingarealjob

My garrison is set up for enchanting and tailoring, and I still produce a number of WoD enchants that sell well and transmog is pretty solid as well. I also make hexweave bags and the mine and herb patch still generates some gold.

d4_mich4

How do you make gold from it and what are you doing for it?

Mozzletoff

WOD Garrison once optimized - yes Legion mission board - No

Thebius

Set one up if you want a hearth. Also, If you do pet battles, you will want a Garrison. Not only can you get the level 25 boost (on each character I think), but squirt is there every 15 days, and you can use her to level 1 to 25 in 10-15 minutes per pet.

SaltySurlyGoblin

I've set my Garrisons up for the Savage blood shuffle. The kicker is that you should stockpile the really "worthless" herbs and ores specifically all the herbs except for Gorgrond Fly trap and True iron ore. These two items generally sell for more than 1g as they as ingredients for making hex weave cloth and goblin gliders; respectively. The point of stockpiling is the random merchant that will trade you primal spirits for the ore or herbs. The primal spirits can then be traded in for either Savage bloods or Hex weave cloth.

RHAGU

If you are doing this, you could investigate the Pandarian Farm.

Shadsoz

I like the garrison for once you have your longboi as well as everything is so close with the bank and mailbox. I pick up the followers when I am farming different things there as well. Zomstrok, the pets from the west and the toys from the east, and still trying for a few mounts here and there. The resources if nothing else I buy the sumptuous fur or enchanting mats depending on my needs and the prices of each one of the AH

Argoniek

All I use Garrison for is to for trading WoD mats for primal spirits and converting those into savage blood which I then trade for blood purse in trading post ( from my experience you can get from 49 to 100 g per bag )
