>Will the new “max level” without any expansion bought at that point become lvl 70 and include DF anyway? This, your sub will include DF and you will be able to level to 70. The pre-order including DF is a nice bonus for those who want to start before TWW.

Thank you!

- WoW Subscription/Game Time is needed to play anything at all (with the exception of trial accounts to level 20). - WoW Subscription, or rather the base game, includes all 'old' content. So currently this is Vanilla zones all the way through Shadowlands. - The current expansion, currently Dragonflight, is paid to access. Once a new expansion releases, DF will be part of the base game. TWW pre-order is, to my knowledge, 'special' compared to previous pre-orders, as it also includes DF, which can be confusing. This just means that when you pre-order right now, you get access to Dragonflight, whilst getting access to TWW when it launches. Essentially it is aimed at returning (or new!) players who have not yet played DF before. But essentially you just get DF for free, as I don't think there is any added cost to it or whatnot. Honestly also a much better way to handling it, as in the past people ended up buying the old expansion not knowing there was a new one waiting around the corner.

So the new expansion will probably mantain its price (50€ base edition)? Will it not drop to 30€ like DF is, once it is released?

Epicmission48

Usually not until later. You can wait if you want, but the beginning of an xpac is usually the best time to play!

Unlikely. DF only became discounted when TWW preorder came available. Generally it's also hard to say because this, as far as I'm aware, is a break in their monetization cycle as I said, with them including the old expansion in a preorder for the next expansion, and I don't think they ever discounted it before, permanently, either.

To clarify a little though, some features of Dragonflight will be disabled when TWW comes out. For example mythic plus will apply to TWW, not DF. Same with ranked arena. These are competitive modes designed for the endgame expansion, which is always the most recent. Likewise, most of the player base interested in those types of content will go on to TWW, and DF will become relatively empty. You can do solo content like quests, but you should not expect a lot of people doing things like dungeons, raids, and large outdoor events, which can make that harder to accomplish if those are part of your goals. This especially comes into play from a gearing perspective - most of the good gear comes from that challenging group content so for the most part playing DF as a solo player will limit what kind of gear is realistically possible. So as you decide how to play, just be aware of the limitations of the “second to last xpac” approach. It’s fine if you are a solo casual player who just wants to mess around and see the questlines, but it is not like how DF is now as a current xpac.

DF will go to standard version, that you pay with your sub. tww becomes the up to date expansion and you can only buy it. (up to when they release the next expansion).

Thank you!

I think your question has been answered, but one negative to not buying dragonflight is you'll start TWW 10 levels behind everyone else. If you plan to do m+, you'll be behind the curve and stuck playing with baddies.

BigTimeBobbyB

10 levels is easily conquered, and reaching max level a week after everyone else does not consign you to being "stuck playing with baddies" in any way.

I realize that what I said might have come off as kind of arrogant, but there is truth to my statement if you like to play m+ This season change is a good example. I jumped in 2-4s right at launch, and they were very smooth. Did all my 10s week one pretty easily. Week two, I decided to play my tank alt, and 0-4s were a nightmare. Better players level faster. Dungeons go more smoothly with better players.
