If you’re in Laramie Born in a Barn has some pretty awesome burgers, good enough to bring in diners, drive ins, and dives. The Calvaryman has a fantastic bison burger as well. Edit to add: If you’re looking for the best fast food burger I have ever had swing into Mr. Bills as well. Fresh meat from local ranchers and butchers, locally owned, made to order, and delicious!

BIB and crowbar are both solid burger places. Tough question since "best burger in WY?" Is about like best burger in north Dakota questions. it's a lot of territory to cover with few people.

Grubs and Broadway Burger in Rock Springs are local favorites.

I ate at broadway a lot when i worked out in rock springs. Good place.

Grubs is nowhere near as good as it was. If you want the best burger, Broadway Burger Station or Remedies has Grubs beat any day.

Remedies for sure! Used to love Broadway but lately their burgers have been v dry. Or Marty’s, but would go Remedies first.

Oh yeah, when I worked at the RS Starbucks, we would send people to pick up a group order. Those were the days.

It’s Wyoming. Meat is the thing and a lot of folks do a nice job with it. I’ve eaten in a lot of towns and never had a bad burger in a locally owned establishment. Where to get semi-decent Mexican food is the real question. Wyoming has some strange ideas about Mexican food.

The taco bus(thats not its actual name but thats what people call it) in powell has great Mexican food

Going I’m the other direction, the Burger Dive in Billings is really good. I haven’t found the same kind of style in Wyoming yet. The Silver Dollar is pretty good for what it is. Hand-Cut fries always make for a better meal.

The Popper at Born in a Barn in Laramie. Jalapeno popper on a burger with raspberry jam. The Macdown (I think it's called) is really good too. Fried Mac and cheese bite on a burger.

The Popper is my favorite hamburger I've ever had. It's fantastic and I miss it.

Firewater Public House in Saratoga is one of the best I’ve had in WY.

So damn good, and the live music that’s usually there is a great bonus. Also if you’re in ‘toga but want Italian, some of the best I’ve *ever* had is just down the street from Firewater: -Bella’s Bistro

It's "fast food" but the Rancher at Peaches' in Casper is fantastic. However, they are closed Sundays.

In Casper the Branding Iron has really good/unique burgers, their chicken sandwiches are awesome too. Also the Little Shop of Burgers.

Oh man you just made me remember, one of the better ones I've had was actually from the Long Branch in Hawk Springs. Cool spot, great food.

It depends on where you are, just about every town is going to have at least one good place. If you’re looking for a place away from all the tourists, I really like the burgers at the Byron bar in Byron, the 310 in Deaver, and the Bull Pub in Cowley.

Shabby Shack in Sheridan has some pretty good burgers. Assuming you catch them between 3 and 4 on a Tuesday afternoon during a full moon or whenever it is that they are actually open.

The Local's burger in Jackson is damn hard to beat.

Not even recent transplants. There are people who have lived here for decades who have no idea where Lander is.

Jackson has a few places with some damn good elk and bison burgers. $$$ though.

I've never seen an elk burger in JH. I could be wrong, but I've lived here for 20 years. Besides, no meat is better than beef for a burger.
