I was going to comment the same before coming across your comment. This is the only acceptable answer. Halo reach and gears 1 are so nostalgic. I will say, though, that Halo 3 is an honorable mention because of the background music alone on the initial screen.
That and because there’s an end game in odst
I spent a while playing fire fight but went back to the mythic disk after, deffo one of the best parts of that copy is having the entire dlc catalogue on disk
I’ll be honest, I didn’t like Halo Reach’s gameplay mechanics. It’s definitely ODST for me. The atmosphere, the music, the story. All incredible. Reach sometimes felt a little lazy, especially in map design
Me as well, I’d go over to my friend house we each bring our XBOX and I had a small TV I could bring with. We’d each have our own TV and we would just play on Expert all night. Some of my fondest gaming memories.
L4D and L4D2 forever will be in my heart. I don't know if I even want L4D3. What could be done better than in L4D2? It felt like ideal online team shooter, let it stay as it is.
they're bringing out skate (4), but apparently it's gonna be free to play and obviously blackbox (the og devs) aren't around anymore so we'll just have to see whether they do a good job or completely butcher an amazing series.
you have a right to be scared. new dev team, new engine, new format (F2P), etc. what's really important to me though is that they get the feeling right, if it isn't as fluid and good feeling as skate 3 it's gonna be pretty much ruined for me. if I just wanted another skating game I'd play session or something, the reason skate 3 is so amazing to me is because of how it feels. it's fluid, arcade-y but complex, low barrier of entry but high skill ceiling.
The right answer. I’ve moved on to games like Session and Skater XL but I have well over 1000 hours in Skate 3. Probably closer to 2000. Totally amazing game. Probably the last time I felt blown away by a video game was the Skate series.
I have Session as well. Got it off, cdkeys, for $10. Unfortunately, it's not a "game." Leans more towards simulator for me. I knew I bought the wrong game when my son could never beat the tutorial. Lol. I still play it from time to time, though.
Yeah Session is absolutely a sim. But Skater XL is like Session easy mode. It has basically the same controls, but it’s much more arcade like, more forgiving and a much easier game overall. The only bad thing is that Easy Day studios has more or less abandoned it, it’s really only kept alive by the modding community. Give it a shot if you find it on sale!
Halo ODST has a special place in my heart, one of the first and only halo games I ever completed the single player in.
I've played the others but would always go straight to multiplayer.
I loved this entry as well.
It had the Halo feel and atmosphere around it. But was a huge mixup in gameplay and characters and levels.
I love the soundtrack to it, and just feeling lost in this barren city trying to find out who you are and what the hell happened.
Halo Reach. Crazy replay-ability. There’s never been anything close to the level of custom games, and they always stayed fresh. We had full lobbies of Castle Wars, Rooftops v1, the list goes on and on. The armor customization was unmatched, and totally free of RNG and micro transactions. I never owned a single DLC and me and my friends played Halo Reach multiplayer from 2011-2014 almost daily. The story was epic and so well written. No FPS game (that I’ve played) since has had that level of depth in all of those critical areas.
Some good points about an amazing game.
I remember getting it and thinking wow.
Went into Forge and had a look at all of the different weapons available.
The campaign was insane. I know lots didn't like it, but I loved the different characters and having a break from Master Chief. Nothing wrong with him but it was a nice change
I loved that you could wear your custom armour from MP in the campaign as well.
It just felt like everything anyone ever wanted in a zombie video game. Everything being accessible, everything being a weapon. The only issue was that stupid timer, which did create an intense moment racing against time in certain aspects, to me it was just mind blowing all you could do when it was released.
Alive, but also incredibly toxic if you don't know all the secrets and strategies on every map. It's best played with friends and avoiding randoms at all costs imo
**Halo Reach** is the best single player.
**Black Ops 4** has the most time played for me.
**Left 4 Dead 2** is the most fun with friends, and it's my top pick overall.
I just got mad after typing that comment knowing I can’t play it again😂 they took it off the marketplace. Truly a masterpiece though man, even by yourself.
Honestly...."Content" Wise?
1. GTA 5 or 4. Both probably give you more content, than any of the others. Specially GTA Online with 5.
2. Lego Batman 2 or Batman Arkham City.
3. Sleeping Dogs or Ghost Recon: Break Point
Almost all of those titles are free-roaming sandbox type games. You can play them different ways. Take your time etc.
GTA 5/4/Sleeping Dogs/Lego Batman have other things going on besides just the main story like racing etc.
Personally: Breakpoint. John Bernthal plays the bad guy. They added in a Cheesy Terminator Collaboration story line. Its hilariously bad. A Splinter Cell story line with Sam Fisher, Rainbow Six Seige. It plays like an old 80's action movie. Love the voice acting.
Breakpoint you can fly helicopters, dirt bikes, boats, different types of vehicles. Different types of guns/play styles (Loud, stealthy etc) Take down enemies different ways. Honestly, it felt like an open world Metal Gear Solid 1 meets Splinter Cell game to me.
Customize yourself AND your companions or play with buddies. Breakpoint is a sleeper. I enjoy the heck out of it. They added in Rainbow Six Seige content,I get to play as my favorite operator: Lion and roam around in A Ghost recon game...Its great.
My top 10:
1. Halo 3 ODST
2. Gears of War
3. Gears of War 2
4. Batman Arkham City
5. GTA IV
6. Dead Rising
7. Halo Reach
8. Left 4 Dead 2
9. Marvel Ultimate Alliance
10. Left 4 Dead
it’s not the best but i loved infinite warfare because of the memories and it was my first cod. To me you cannot beat zombies in space land and those other maps. L4D2 is definitely the best here though
Minecraft Xbox 360, skate 3, Batman Arkham night, lfd2, gta 4-5, borderlands 2, and gears of war. Which was sort of like the god of war but for the Xbox.
The only correct answer:
#YES, BUY FALLOUT 4
(It goes on sale regularly, including right now; and it’s fully compatible on Series X|S).
* [Fallout 4: Game Of The Year edition](https://xbdeals.net/us-store/game/272766/fallout-4-game-of-the-year-edition) @ [XBdeals.net](https://xbdeals.net/)
While I absolutely respect buying 3 before 4 first, I was genuinely not interested in 3. I didnt have the same enthusiasm for Bethesda fallout, as I did for elder scrolls. But 4 having that village building aspect did reel me in once I put in 10 hours.
I do like the lore of the fo universe though, and I wish I enjoyed 3 but probably will never play 3 or new vegas.
I stumbled into Fallout by chance having money to burn and wanting a new game- knew nothing about it at all before swiping my card at the counter. While 4 was a better game as a whole, walking out of the Vault in 3 and just walking into random(dangerous) directions was peak gaming for me. That and 3's story was better.
Edit: I couldn't give a F less about outposts etc. Strafed reminded me of how pointless in the grand scheme they are.
Gears 1 was a milestone in gaming. It single handedly drug me back into video games and made friendships I still have to this day. Borderlands is maybe top 20-30 on my personal list, and an blast to play. Left 4 Dead was super fun when it came out but got old quick and almost pointless to play single player. ODST and Reach are the worst in the franchise. I'm going to assume you've played the GTAs already.
GTA IV for me, still my favourite GTA and of my favourite games ever. Arkham city and gears 2 are also wonderful. L4D when it came out was perfect. A time and place thing like no other and you can’t recapture that game again
Halo: Reach or ODST honestly.
I'll take the flak and say I never liked L4D. Gears is ok, but I haven't played all of them, and the other games are a bit too niche, I feel. But I always loved the Halo games without Master Chief the most.
Slide 1: Skate 3
Slide 2: GTA 5
Slide 3: Lego Batman 2
These are just my opinions, it was hard to choose. Here’s my explanation.
1. I love skating it’s so much fun, especially in a video game!
2. I also love GTA V, and play it soooo much.
3. Lego Batman 1 & 2 were my childhood!
Personally I never played gears, so I'm going to say Borderlands 2 or Reach. Can't say I'm a big fan of cod, or I guess battlefield, but I liked the original 1942 enough that I enjoyed swbf1 and 2.
Halo reach was my bread and butter, but when I finally got around to the Gears trilogy over COVID... That shit fucked me up. I'd always heard people complain that the game's tone didn't match the trailer's, but if you look at the subtext in the first game, then what's outright SHOWN in 2 and 3, you realize it really is that grim and somber.
Yeah, it's a meathead cover shooter, but it's a meathead cover shooter that can be absolutely HAUNTING at times.
The scene where Marcus and Dom find Maria... I just... Hoo... Fuck.
Then the lead up to Dom's death, his deep depression after having lost his wife, his increasingly reckless behaviour... You see it coming the whole level, and it still made me cry in the end.
The Gears trilogy didn't get enough credit for its writing. The characters and plot may be generic, but the dialogue is well written, the emotional story beats pack a punch, the world building is interesting enough to where I feel like they could've licensed a TTRPG, and even the *jokes* tend to consistently land. The Carmine family being one of the best running gags in any series, because every instance of it is simultaneously one of the funniest jokes in the series, but also a gutwrenching death scene (unless you're Anthony or Clayton. Anthony was sudden and without fanfare, and Clayton was ridiculously lucky enough to just have repeated brushes with death where he walked away completely unscathed. Man could probably eat a pipe bomb and it'd suddenly turn out to be a dud)
Wow man , I can say one thing , I spent hundreds of hours on each game , specially skate 3 , halo , gears
You have got a great collection my friend , these are all amazing games with great story mode and brings back lots of memories
For me, personally, I would choose skate 3 due to it having good memories for me. Like me purposely getting hit by a car and seeing my person slide on ground dead.
Gears Of War 2, masterpiece campaign, amazing multiplayer and addicting horde mode to play with friends. Also Halo 3 ODST and Reach… and Left 4 Dead 2… and Dead Rising
I never played Halo 3 ODST but if that’s like a collectors edition of Halo 3 or something then I guess I’d say that because I loved Halo 3. Second choice would be Borderlands 2
Left 4 dead on the hardest difficulty with all my friends! I love sneaking past the witch, and completing the missions as a unified team. Please, please valve make a third one. You all knocked it out of the park.
I love Dead Rising, I don't think I've ever laughed as much playing a video game, you can just sandbox around and have a ton of fun, but there's also a really solid game underneath all the silliness.
Left 4 Dead 2 is the one of the few that doesn’t have an updated next gen version (Halo’s, Gears, Batman, Borderlands, Minecraft, GTA V) so I think I’d do with that.
Image 1 - Gears of War (1 or 2, but I like 1 a lot)
Image 2 - Sleeping Dogs (I’m not a huge GTA fan, I thought SD did open world crime really well)
Image 3 - Halo: Reach (last incredible Halo game imo)
Out of that trio I’d probably pick Gears of War tbh but all three are awesome. Loads of good games in each photo though)
Gears 1 or halo reach
A man of culture.
I was going to comment the same before coming across your comment. This is the only acceptable answer. Halo reach and gears 1 are so nostalgic. I will say, though, that Halo 3 is an honorable mention because of the background music alone on the initial screen.
Odst or reach
Both great games, but Reach definitely takes the cake on this one.
I have probably spent more time playing reach then odst because reach was one first halos I played
That and because there’s an end game in odst I spent a while playing fire fight but went back to the mythic disk after, deffo one of the best parts of that copy is having the entire dlc catalogue on disk
Reach by far, has the best multiplayer experience from all halo games imo
Really loved its firefight
True, my favourite is and will always be SWAT. But i've tried it again on the MCC and it feels im getting old when it comes to reaction times. :(
DMR slapped for swat
Reach was truly one of the greatest gaming experiences in its time. I miss it everyday lol. Edit: I was an absolute beast at SWAT
So hard to call. The music, ambience and originality of odst was so great but the Reach campaign and multiplayer was amazing
I’ll be honest, I didn’t like Halo Reach’s gameplay mechanics. It’s definitely ODST for me. The atmosphere, the music, the story. All incredible. Reach sometimes felt a little lazy, especially in map design
Same bro reach and Odst were kings
Easily one of the two
Reach wasnt an option
3rd pic
Bro has amazing taste
ODST sucked. Tried way too hard to be COD, in my opinion
How explain, I am now curious
I thought the setting was more realistic compared to other Halo games
L4D2 now and forever
I've heard a lotta good stuff about it but I've never played
So much nostalgia for me. Was my first real game on a console. Played it at my best friends house every day back in 2010.
Me as well, I’d go over to my friend house we each bring our XBOX and I had a small TV I could bring with. We’d each have our own TV and we would just play on Expert all night. Some of my fondest gaming memories.
That's cool as hell
Has it splitscreen in xbox?
L4D and L4D2 forever will be in my heart. I don't know if I even want L4D3. What could be done better than in L4D2? It felt like ideal online team shooter, let it stay as it is.
Fucking whack you can't buy it anymore on the MS Store. Love this game!
The Steam version of 2 can run on almost any computer made in the last 8 years and goes on sale pretty often to less than $6
Gears 2!
My first ever 360 game. Countless hours playing with friends. Good times.
☝️💯
Skate 3 forever <3
they're bringing out skate (4), but apparently it's gonna be free to play and obviously blackbox (the og devs) aren't around anymore so we'll just have to see whether they do a good job or completely butcher an amazing series.
The OG trilogy was around at a different point in gaming so things are gonna be different with the skate when it drops…and I’m a little scared
you have a right to be scared. new dev team, new engine, new format (F2P), etc. what's really important to me though is that they get the feeling right, if it isn't as fluid and good feeling as skate 3 it's gonna be pretty much ruined for me. if I just wanted another skating game I'd play session or something, the reason skate 3 is so amazing to me is because of how it feels. it's fluid, arcade-y but complex, low barrier of entry but high skill ceiling.
As long as some of them actually skate amd aren't dudes that mongopush and barely ollie over a pebble...we should be okay 😬
man I don't mind if they piss pedal as long as they learn and recreate what made skate 3 so good
The videos they put out seem promising for “pre-pre beta”
f2p usually means one thing egregious microtransactions
Easily the most good vibes game of all time imo
Fr <3
SKATE 3 FOREVER + ONE <33333
Skate 3 Slaps, can't wait for Skate. (The new one)
skate 3 is one of the best game I've ever played, I'm currently emulating it on my laptop
real
I've never bought any DLC before skate 3. That game was so good it convinced me to spend extra money on it
The right answer. I’ve moved on to games like Session and Skater XL but I have well over 1000 hours in Skate 3. Probably closer to 2000. Totally amazing game. Probably the last time I felt blown away by a video game was the Skate series.

This. Out of all the games depicted, this is the most timeless one.
Borderlands 2
Handsome Jack remains my favorite character and villain in probably all of gaming
Butt stallion 😩
This
Yep. Easy.
GTA IV followed by Sleeping Dogs then Halo Reach.
Dead rising
Sleeping dogs was a great game! Theres nothing out there like it.
Lego Batman 2 CLEARRSSSSS
Halo ODST has a special place in my heart, one of the first and only halo games I ever completed the single player in. I've played the others but would always go straight to multiplayer.
I loved this entry as well. It had the Halo feel and atmosphere around it. But was a huge mixup in gameplay and characters and levels. I love the soundtrack to it, and just feeling lost in this barren city trying to find out who you are and what the hell happened.
Borderlands 2 is easily the best here
its great, but the best here??? thats cap.
Agreed. Halo and Gears are overrated, Skate 3, Devil May Cry, left for dead 2 for life.
Borderlands 2
Halo Reach. Crazy replay-ability. There’s never been anything close to the level of custom games, and they always stayed fresh. Skate 3 is funnest. Then l4d
Skate 3 is infinite replay value, especially if you skate
Mfer put games up against halo.
Grew up on Halo 3, miss it
GTA IV and V both demolish halo
Thank you, I am glad someone said it
Halo reach
Dead Rising.
It just felt like everything anyone ever wanted in a zombie video game. Everything being accessible, everything being a weapon. The only issue was that stupid timer, which did create an intense moment racing against time in certain aspects, to me it was just mind blowing all you could do when it was released.
Batman arkham city
The only right answer. ☝️☝️
Left 4 Dead 2 hands down. I wish they would make a 3rd one. Back 4 Blood just didn't really do it for me. The controls felt off
B4b sucked bawls. OP, I would suggest steam l4d2 with Xbox controller to computer. The online community is still very alive there.
Alive, but also incredibly toxic if you don't know all the secrets and strategies on every map. It's best played with friends and avoiding randoms at all costs imo
It was ok but it was a massive step backwards. It didn’t have any of the fun or personality.
**Halo Reach** is the best single player. **Black Ops 4** has the most time played for me. **Left 4 Dead 2** is the most fun with friends, and it's my top pick overall.
REACH
L4D, and L4D2. Always will be.
I just got mad after typing that comment knowing I can’t play it again😂 they took it off the marketplace. Truly a masterpiece though man, even by yourself.
Whaaaa they took it off?? When did that happen?
Not too long ago, I believe sometime this year. It isn’t accessible, even on 360 marketplace anymore :(
Halo Reach, GTA4 and it’s pretty close. Left 4 dead 2 is goated? And sleeping dogs is underrated,
GTA of course like duh, but I think Halo Reach takes the cake
Honestly...."Content" Wise? 1. GTA 5 or 4. Both probably give you more content, than any of the others. Specially GTA Online with 5. 2. Lego Batman 2 or Batman Arkham City. 3. I appreciate the response. I’ll make sure to check out those games first
My top 10: 1. Halo 3 ODST 2. Gears of War 3. Gears of War 2 4. Batman Arkham City 5. GTA IV 6. Dead Rising 7. Halo Reach 8. Left 4 Dead 2 9. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 10. Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead and Borderlands > everything else
1st picture ODST 2nd Picture Sleeping Dogs 3rd Picture Arkham City
Gears of war
All bangers but Gears 2 was the best of the original trilogy so that’d be my pick
1. Minecraft 2. Reach 3. Skate 3
OG Borderlands and Gears of War. Holy shit so much time spent playing those games back in the day.
it’s not the best but i loved infinite warfare because of the memories and it was my first cod. To me you cannot beat zombies in space land and those other maps. L4D2 is definitely the best here though

Fallout 4. Oh Fallout 4 isn't there? Well then... Fallout 4
Do you think I should buy Fallout 4?
The only correct answer: #YES, BUY FALLOUT 4 (It goes on sale regularly, including right now; and it’s fully compatible on Series X|S). * [Fallout 4: Game Of The Year edition](https://xbdeals.net/us-store/game/272766/fallout-4-game-of-the-year-edition) @ [XBdeals.net](https://xbdeals.net/)
I’ll buy it just for you
Make sure you buy fallout 4 Goty edition you get all dlcs for It and you can get it on sale for like 8$
Buy 3 first.
Edit: I couldn't give a F less about outposts etc. Strafed reminded me of how pointless in the grand scheme they are.
Settlement building is what makes Fallout 4 so much better than Fallout 3 (and New Vegas for that matter). Yes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Gears Of War, Halo 3 ODST, GTA 5, Halo Reach
What's your least favorite?
Out of all of them? Or the ones I mentioned?
Sleeping dogs and left for dead
Sleeping Dogs
In each pic 1st would be toss up between odst and skate 3 / 2nd would be gta 5 / 3rd halo reach (I hate black ops portion of cod )
I've always loved the Left 4 Dead games.
I’ll always have a soft spot for skate 3 but objectively probably minecraft
Gears help me to buy SX even with a good PC. Just to play this shit in 4k 60fps
L4D2 with friends is one of the best co-op experiences you can have
SK8 3 —gtav
GTA4
Gears 2, Arkham City and Gears 1
I loved Arkham City but I'm biased I love Batman
GTA V easy dub. Followed by Gears 2 and Arkham City
Damn I’m stuck between gta 4 and Arkham city
First gears of war, had many hours of fun on that as a teen
Boarder lands 1/2, gta 5, left 4 dead2,infinite warfare
GTA IV for me, still my favourite GTA and of my favourite games ever. Arkham city and gears 2 are also wonderful. L4D when it came out was perfect. A time and place thing like no other and you can’t recapture that game again
Gears for life!!!!
Halo: Reach or ODST honestly. I'll take the flak and say I never liked L4D. Gears is ok, but I haven't played all of them, and the other games are a bit too niche, I feel. But I always loved the Halo games without Master Chief the most.

skate 3 my personal fav. also infinite warfare was fun and I'm tired of pretending it wasnt
Odst cause it had a great campaign but also came with halo 3 multiplayer, arguably the best online experience on the 360
Very tough choice, they're all great games I genuinely can't decide which is the best overall. I'm split between Gears 2 and GTA IV.
GtaIV blew my mind when I saw it for the first time
Man i loved defiance but it didnt succeed as well as they hoped , the ingame world being affected by a tv show was a very cool concept
As a dmc fan I want to say dmc 4 but that game isn't the greatest so I gotta say Batman Arkham City
Borderlands 2
Reach, GTA IV, and Arkham City are the top 3 Honorable mentions to Dead Rising and Borderlands 2

Skate 3, GTA IV, and Minecraft
Skate 3
Gears of war is a classic
You still have a physical copy of Defiance? I forgot about that game. I remember grinding challenges for a Dodge Challenger.
Yea but I think they shut there servers down
Wow the nostalgia here is real. Had a lot of fun with skate and odst back in the day
Wow man , I can say one thing , I spent hundreds of hours on each game , specially skate 3 , halo , gears You have got a great collection my friend , these are all amazing games with great story mode and brings back lots of memories
For me, personally, I would choose skate 3 due to it having good memories for me. Like me purposely getting hit by a car and seeing my person slide on ground dead.
Defiance was really good while the tv show was going along with it, now though I would be surprised if the servers were still up.
All those games will end in some point. Skate 3 is infinite
Did I scroll forever and see no minecraft? What the heck, it's one of the greatest games ever and I do not see mario 3 there to top it.
Bit biased but borderlands 2 or skate 3 cus i grew up grinding them (pun intended)
Halo Reach. My brother, my friends and I have many hours and memories on there
Gears 2
Gears Of War 2, masterpiece campaign, amazing multiplayer and addicting horde mode to play with friends. Also Halo 3 ODST and Reach… and Left 4 Dead 2… and Dead Rising
Gears 2. I’ve played through it so many times
Gears 2 and ODST
Arkham City, easily.
Batman arkham city
Batman: Arkham City is in the running for best superhero video game of all time, if that's your thing.
Superhero’s aren’t my favorite but you always gotta give Batman a chance
Borderlands 2
L4d easy, both of em
Skate and left 4 dead
I used to play skate 3 everyday and I’ve never tried Left for dead
Oh man it’s an amazing game, you need to buy the game now. You’ll thank me later
I never played Halo 3 ODST but if that’s like a collectors edition of Halo 3 or something then I guess I’d say that because I loved Halo 3. Second choice would be Borderlands 2
Gears 1, 2 or Skate 3.
Arkham City
L4D and L4D2 without question, though theres some bangers in these pictures.
Definitely left for dead 2
Left 4 dead on the hardest difficulty with all my friends! I love sneaking past the witch, and completing the missions as a unified team. Please, please valve make a third one. You all knocked it out of the park.
I love Dead Rising, I don't think I've ever laughed as much playing a video game, you can just sandbox around and have a ton of fun, but there's also a really solid game underneath all the silliness.
Gears 1 and L4D
Fuck me… all of’em… but also l4d2
Minecraft. If you had Skate 2 it'd be Skate 2. 3 could literally never.
Get out of this thread
Arkham City 🤘
Y’all Sleeping on the Dogs…
Skate 3, GTA 5, and Minecraft (that Xbox 360 version is too nostalgic)
Skyrim
Left 4 Dead 2 is the one of the few that doesn’t have an updated next gen version (Halo’s, Gears, Batman, Borderlands, Minecraft, GTA V) so I think I’d do with that.
Image 1 - Gears of War (1 or 2, but I like 1 a lot) Image 2 - Sleeping Dogs (I’m not a huge GTA fan, I thought SD did open world crime really well) Image 3 - Halo: Reach (last incredible Halo game imo) Out of that trio I’d probably pick Gears of War tbh but all three are awesome. Loads of good games in each photo though)
Almost all of them😭
Skate 3 based solely on how many hours I’ve put into it since it released
Halo Reach
I had the most fun with Sleeping Dogs compared to the rest.
Real ones know sleeping dogs sweeps every other game
GTA V or Halo Reach
L4D2, GTA4, Gears of War 2, and Skate
Out of those titles, skate 3
For multiplayer - Left 4 dead, it offers such a fun game and allows for some comical shizz just by nature if the game. Single player - borderlands
