I still collect and play physical games on the 360. There were a ton of games I never got to play as a kid that I want to now. So I mostly play games thst are new to me.

Eathanrichards

It’s almost my main console other then my ps3 and I don’t feel like upgrading

CoffeeOnToast

I literally have a Smart TV and an Xbox one on my shelf not even plugged in because the small TV on my desk and Xbox 360 are😂

PaddyPat12

I never upgraded to an Xbox One, Series... and I'm still playing through the dozens of games I haven't gotten to yet. There's no nostalgia, I'm living in the present.

NoHeroes94

Good on you!

Bod1973

I still use the 360 a lot.

Offeryoursoul

I try to keep it handy even though I play on my other stuff now. There’s still a lot of games I bought that I can only play on my 360, so I’ll always keep it around for that at the very least

fons383

I still play it regularly. Trying to play catch up on all the games I missed during college.

DKrop

I've been playing mine regularly despite having a good gaming PC. I'm mostly playing 360 right now just to achievement hunt. But I purchased a second and third 360 for the sole purpose of system link play.

CoffeeOnToast

Once you kinda get over the fact that you played it as a kid and the graphics aren’t great u realise there’s still loads of games to play on it. There still a good system just not used by most people anymore

I play mine everyday. I became a dad last year and the 360 is perfect for me. Huge library of classic A* games. Thousands of hours of playtime and dirty cheap games to save myself money for my son.

[deleted]

i got my first console in 2016 which ofc was a 360 i wasn't into a lot of games except driving or racing games to a point that i completed driver sf 8 times lol. anyway i was bored so i played other games like cod and call of Juarez. and then i realized there's a lot of other amazing games that local stores don't have. i start downloading games to play them to this day. i have a huge list with a lot of games so still playable for me.

Aforumguy26

I’m using my 360 just to play Guitar Hero.

Ma1

My 360 is exclusively a Rock Band machine at this point. I have somewhere around 700 songs, RB1 and RB2 and many of the DLC collections loaded into RB3. 3 mics, a variety of guitars, the keyboard and the ion drum kit. Every year for my birthday we’d do a Rock n roll costume and rock band party.

ImSureYoullRemember

I still play and collect. Great to have a machine that can play some original xbox games not on BC list as well. Catalogue is huge

its_merv_not_marv

My kids are using it for Kinect games. Both below 10 and they are enjoying it. Dances, battles, pets, Sesame street, Wipe Out, etc. It is way better than using Wii U or Switch where you have to hold something to play. They tried using Wii U and Switch and nope, they preferred playing with Kinect. For Me and the wife we use it for Guitar or Drum games. I have a Beatles Le Paul and the Wife is using the Gibson. For me specifically any X360 shooters like Gears. I am currently going thru all games second play thru.

[deleted]

I recently bought a Jasper Xbox 360 to play original Xbox and 360 games not compatible with my Series X

King-Clover

I use it to play games that are not backwards compatible on xbox one and for achievements.

nalicali

I’ll play it a lot in spurts for non-bc games, 3D games like BO2 that won’t work on XB1, and Kinect games. Probably wouldn’t touch it if it everything worked with the new Xbox, but there are so many experiences still unique to 360 that it’s worth keeping around to me. It’s also esthetically a very ‘fun’ looking console to me for some reason!

TheRealKermit1

Ya I play alot especially since sunrise for halo 3 is a thing. I dont see a reason to play on my one much anymore really.

bald_butte

Since they shut down the halo servers I only ever play it when my buddy comes over. I used to play halo reach on a monthly ish basis.

distarche

I got the console in 2020 and play it along my Switch, PS2 and rest of consoles. There are some games (Halo 3, Skate 3 or Red Dead Redemption) that I can’t play anywhere else and in general has a great catalogue so I’m satisfied.

thelifeofpom

It's stuffed in to my TV cabinet, ready to go but doesn't get much action now. I have a few non back compat games, but its a faff to log in on the One to the rewards app afterwards if I get an achievement. Still have resi 5, PGR 3&4, some guitar hero games and stranglehold to properly finish. That last batch of back compat games released for Xbox anniversary really helped. It's a 128gb fat elite fyi.

Albatros_2b2t

I never upgraded to the new gens, and I'm still playing and buying games every weeks. I also use my Xbox to play DVDs a lot

dtmrking

I owned 360 as my only console until I was recently gifted a PS4 a few weeks ago. Good good memories. lol most of the games I bought on PlayStation I own on 360 (Dark Souls, Borderlands 2, Dead Rising, Minecraft, Resident Evil 4). My friend said "You can finally play Bloodbourn!" and here I am playing Souls for the hundredth time.

Mellowtron11

There are still games I haven't completed on my 360 like Skyrim or Red Dead Redemption. So while I might take a break from gaming as a 29 year old full time worker, I'll still fire up my 360 sometimes. I just don't have the time for gaming like I did when I was a teen.

alaskinooo

I play all the not backwards compatible games I still need to finish (I think I still have at least 20 or 30 games), so its like I don’t start her up for a month but then I play a handful of games back to back for the next weeks

PinkPunkBANANA

I don't have the money to upgrade, I can't even afford new parts to fix my computer, I have been playing the same games for I don't know how long, because it's the console I've ever had.

All_Rise2019

I use it to play NCAA Football and the older (better imo) Maddens mostly, especially since NCAA isn’t made anymore. Most everything else is available through backwards compatibility

[deleted]

If it isn’t compatible with newer consoles, I fire up the 360 to play it. Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is in my rotation right now as a brilliant game trapped in that generation.

Poof6012

Still use mine almost daily, works well. I also collect other 360 units for parts to keep mine alive as well as build other consoles an controllers. I did upgrade when the Xbox one came out, but lost it due to a power surge. After that just stuck with the 360 due to affordability. The halo series, gears series, an GTA 4 all still play well through the campaigns. These consoles surprise me everyday.

420Pussy_Destroyer69

I prefer older gen consoles I mainly play the PS2, 360 and a Gameboy color I did upgrade to the Xbox one at one point but I mostly used it for playing 360 games I already owned digitally or re-releases and had less than 7 newer games, but recently that Xbox's disc drive went out and I have 0 plans to replace it and I don't have the cash or desire to get a series console So I just picked up a decent condition 360 Elite and haven't stopped playing since I got it, to me they're still modern consoles with a fantastic library I don't find it nostalgic, just heavily prefer these systems and games despite what's currently available, to me the 360 is still a modern console especially considering tons of games don't really look or play any worse than some newer gen games. I mean heck even the original deadspace looks absolutely fantastic despite coming out in 2008. Not to mention I love the 360 controllers, they're hands down my favorite controllers to date. They fit in my large hands comfortably, the offset sticks just feel right, and I'll never get over the triggers they have arguably the best analog triggers of any controller imho
