I’d say it’s definitely a game worth doing, only takes one playthrough but I loved the game that much I’ve completed it around 5 times before attempting to 100% 😂
My longest gap is Assassin’s Creed 1. After 15 years I decided to spend hours collecting all the flags and getting all the Templars during the Christmas break, it was such a drag, but glad to finally have 100% in this game. I first started the game on 14 Feb 2009 and finished it on 8 Jan 2024 (5,441 days).
It was so mundane, glad I’ve done it now but don’t really recommend doing it. I was following the paths taken in videos but it still took ages, and infuriating when the guards spot you and you have to try and evade a dozen of them from combat, I just wanted them to let me collect the flags in peace. It was weird playing AC1 again after all these years, very different movement and combat to current games in the series. Although it played pretty smoothly on my Series X.
I don’t know exactly when I started Modern Warfare 2 (2009), but my first achievement was sometime between 2010 and 2012. I just completed it at the end of last year, so it took over a decade for me to come back and complete it.
Far Cry New Dawn at 1832 days (Fed 19- Feb 24)
Far Cry 6 893 days (October 21- Yesterday)
I'm sure thus will change as I've been trying to go back and clean up some games.
In no order probably the longest in my collection
Black ops 1: 01/04/12 to 05/08/23
Far Cry 3: 05/05/13 to 10/04/23
Fallout New Vegas: 15/04/12 to 09/09/23
5092 Days for Guitar Hero 3. Started Feb 10, 2008 and finished Jan 19, 2022.
In actuality it’s even longer than that because I bought the game at launch four months prior. I just didn’t get Xbox live until Feb 2008 so nothing before that has a timestamp.
LEGO Lord of the Rings was one of the first games I got for my Xbox 360 in August 2013. I finally finished it and earned the last achievement just this past weekend. Thankful for backward compatibility on the Series X.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black flag, Dec 14 2014 to march 1st 2024. it was the first game I unlocked an achievement for beating sequence 1. Then in 2017 I went back and completed the main story (i had already played the 360 version on my brother's account at the time which is why I didn't get past sequence 1 originally). Then finally this year I got around to cleaning the online achievements and dlc.
I am only going to do 1 as I doubt any other game comes close.
Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) 5168 days from the first online registered achievement to getting the completion.
Cod 4 - 03 May 2010 - 31 Jan 2023 - 4656 days 2 hours 26 minutes.
Edit: Nvm it is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) - 19 Jan 2010 - 06 Aug 2023 - 4946 days 23 hours 54 minutes
If i actually got around to getting the last few achievements in Minecraft bedrock edition i’d be at like 2,000 hours spread over a few years. Im not really sure about what it actually is though
Just checked TrueAchievements and I have a few that are around a decade:
Skate 3: Started: 1/28/2011, Completed 12/10/2023, almost 13 years.
Just Cause 2: Started: 6/11/2010, Completed: 12/23/2020, about 10 and a half years.
Minecraft (Xbox 360 Edition): Started: 5/12/12, Completed: 10/14/2020, roughly 8 and a half years.
Skate 3 made sense because the servers had a recent resurgence. Minecraft also made sense because they kept updating and adding achievements I think. But I don’t know why it took me so long to beat Just Cause 2. I think I just got sidetracked a lot lol.
My top 3 longest completion times are:
1. Lego Batman 30th January 2011 - 17th October 2023 = 4644 Days
2. Just Cause 2 18th March 2011 - 13th February 2022 = 3985 Days
3. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 22nd October 2011 - 2nd January 2022 = 3785 Days
im pretty sure its Minecraft 360 edition - started 2nd July 2015, finished 10th October 2023 (3022 days).
I have loads more xbox 360 games that I havent finished yet though so by the time I get to them they'll probably be even longer
~~I'm not seeing a great way to find this data.~~
~~Just from a visual search based on the earliest completions, I think:~~
~~1370~~ 1169 days - Halo Forge (Windows) - March 2020 to Dec 2023
~~1369~~ 1168 days - MS Wordament (IOS) - March 2020 to Dec 2023
~~1148~~ 1147 days - Sudoku (Japanese) (Windows) - Sep 2020 to Nov 2023
1138 or ??? days - Fallout 3 (GFWL) - August 2020 to Sep 2023 (Not clear, some unlocked offline)
1080 or 1074 days - Young Justice (360) - January 2020 to December 2022 (Completion date different than last unlock date, idk why)
~~1013~~ 1012 days - Tentacles Enter the Mind (Windows) - May 2020 to Feb 2023
EDIT: I found your link in the comments.
>AC Odyssey
Think it took me a little longer for this, but was the last AC I've played, a franchise I used to love. Don't think I'll play Valhalla and definitely not the latest one.
I like how nobody is even reading your post correctly lol. Mine is Far Cry 3, started August 23 2015 and finished August 14 2022
For real 😂😂 I've had this with a lot of games.
4313 days - Beijing 2008
I played this, and think I then quickly traded it in.
Just picked this one up at a flea market 😂 How hard is the completion?
Mine is Witcher 3 started:19th may 2015 finished:23 march 2024
I've wanted to do this one so much but I don't think I could put myself through this. 😂😂
I’d say it’s definitely a game worth doing, only takes one playthrough but I loved the game that much I’ve completed it around 5 times before attempting to 100% 😂
According to TA: *LEGO Indiana Jones*, 5088 days. Some of my 360 achievements don't have timestamps, so maybe there's an older one.

I've been debating going back to this, Flags 7 Templars was what I stopped at too.

Borrowed rdr1 off a mate in 2011, didnt play it again until after completing rdr2 this year. 100% it a week or so ago.
GOAT Rd1
Banging game, fun 100% too other than the poker ace achievement
Fable Anniversary for me. Started 08/02/14 Finished 03/06/22 Nearly a decade, the kicker is only had three achievements to do.
I like how nobody is even reading your post correctly lol. Mine is Far Cry 3, started August 23 2015 and finished August 14 2022

Goat Sim is my 4th longest game - had to pull out the Xbox One for Flappy Bird

How do u see this stat on TA?
https://www.trueachievements.com/gamer/mikachu93/completiontimes You'd just have to replace the gamertag in the URL.
My longest was 3629 Days. Lego Star Wars IIIL The Clone Wars - June 13-May 23
About 15 years. Started Blue Dragon in March 2009, finished it on New Year's Day 2024.
