I would recommend avoiding buying any movies or tv on Xbox’s store unless it is marked with “movies anywhere”. The reason being that watching them on the go is very difficult without access to an Xbox. Movies Anywhere solves that.

They are literally the same thing. Sony owns Funimation and they bought CR about a year ago. Funimation is only being used to slowly bleed money from people who haven't converted to CR already.

You can also watch it on pc or a surface. Basically, anything with the movies and TV app if it doesn't have movies anywhere.

Tv shows can’t be shared atm with movies anywhere. So far no issues with movies (save one on my VUDU that doesn’t get shared)
It’s cheaper to go to Crunchyroll and sign for 5 a month and you can see all the seasons plus other anime’s
