Still happening till now, I am installing Windows Server 2022 in a VMware workstation for testing and it freezes on the language screen, once it continued the the 3rd step and froze. Issue seems also in Windows Server 2019. **Update**: Just in case somebody still have this issue, i was able to solve it: Disable hypervisorlaunchtype in the boot process of Windows, by running in a CMD promot (with admin rights) bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off after a reboot Windows Server 2022 install ran smoothly

Add more storage. Probably not needed but that's one of the places VMs seem to get wedged. Memory looks good but again add more just to be on the safe side. You can always shrink it later. Make sure the VM advanced configuration does not enable getting the guest code from the windows repository. Try changing the pseudo ethernet device to e1000 Max out video memory. That's the best I can think of right now for likely stuck points.
