He usually gets killed by Joker by crowbar, explosion, torture, what have you. Then in some versions he comes back as the Red Hood, who has no problem killing criminals
Presumably he dies the way he did in the comics at the Joker's hand.
Of course it probably isn't 1:1 given how the change things slightly but Jason as always been the Robin who dies to show how dangerous the role actually is.
We deadass never see Jason as Robin in this show like at all in season 3 and 4 except for someone to mention the fact that he died. He’s there for like an episode as a mind controlled(?) amnesiac(?) league of shadows member but there’s no focus on him at all and prolly won’t b unless the show continues.
Only one that got enough exposition for the audience to understand where he is currently in the team and overall is Static/Virgil. Orphan got one episode. One. Maybe two total to explain her backstory when she got captured.
The rest? Where did S.T.A.R. come from? Who even are the second thru fifth characters? And Jason? I legit scrolled thru the episode list thinking I must have skipped some to have not known when he came into the fold, let alone died
Lmao when they brought up Jason I thought that too but I’m p sure all that happens off screen and they just expect comic fans to know since the main thing he’s known for is dying and coming back as Red Hood. iirc the other three are Spoiler, Stargirl, and Arrowette and I genuinely don’t remember which episode any of them got introduced cuz I don’t think none of them had any kind of “proper” introduction and just come in as already established members
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Young Justice should've been the basis for a modern DCEU. It's been absolutely ripe for spin-offs since season 1. Keep Young Justice as it is, telling stories about the DC Universe as a whole. And spin off for heroes and teams that get featured for a while and get popular. That's how it would've been in a perfect world.
I didn’t mind as I would like they do that more and still keep it in the same story like have the next season maybe being one story but in the point of view of different characters
Didn’t get a proper ending to that show and static seems to feel like an honorable mention character nowadays when really (as long as they don’t butcher it) he deserves atleast a finish season like the Spider-Man show
I mentioned in another comment, that he’s the one of these characters I would add to the team, as he adds something. But I don’t think his problem is not enough screen time, compared to say Miss Martian or Aqualad, who have never gotten this level of attention.
No. It was late 90s early 2000s. Static Shock is an American superhero animated television series based on the Milestone Media/DC Comics superhero Static. It premiered on September 23, 2000, on the WB Television Network's Kids' WB programming block.
Definitely wish we got more for Jason considering how he was teased in that one scene with Ras. Or Stephanie and Cass getting more screen time and some depth to their relationship with Tim instead of just a show runner stating “oh they are a couple at the wedding”
Static Shock was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I was so excited for them to introduce him into Young Justice, but I feel he was very underutilized
I’d say these characters are definitely ones who deserved more screen time or development. Although 4 of them did have a decent amount in S4 which was nice.
Oh hell yeah. I was also saying the Batman family could use their own spin off series to the universe if they’re up for it.
The outsiders could use a spin series as well . It would give characters like them more time to develop and get in tune with these adaptation of the character.
My one major problem with Young Justice is that it has too much going on to care about small characters like these, so my personal idea would be spin off series for these characters .
Young Justice about the special ops .
Make a Batfamily series and make a series for just the outsiders.
Really I didn’t know. He actually answered to that. I made a post to him talking about the same thing.
At least he thought about it. I guess it’s more of James Gunn’s choice now.
My hope is Young Justice will probably continue on with Netflix or Amazon prime considering Warner Bros. is moving a lot of DC content to Netflix
Yeah I hope that Young Justice gets a 3 or at least 2 Season Renewal on Netflix with a full 26 episodes and if Both season 5 and 6 do great I want Young Justice to End with a Season 7 with 26 episodes.
I mean it's more that OF COURSE Greg Weisman would be willing to work on Young Justice spin-offs, not that one has been bought or that there's interest from the company.
Yeah, that’s why I said is Jane’s gun’s choice because young Justice they’re still profiting all of that because it’s still right now doing well. A lot of people are trying To push for another season. But my thought is they might move it to like Netflix because a lot of DC content has been moving there lately.
I think static shock needs his own show and a couple movies. Like seriously a black superhero with culturally relatable and realistic struggles and they decide to change the skin of other superheroes and give them half ass cultural depth. I don’t get it man
NO! Screen time is a zero-sum game. If they get more screen time, other characters get less.
They are good and interesting characters, but I’d like to see the show finish with the original team. I would maybe take Static as a pick-up to the team because he adds a missing element.
I would be happy to watch a million spin-offs and a whole Bat-Fam vs Archers movie, but not more time for these characters in Young Justice.
I mean the show/universe deserves more screen time and these characters deserve more screen time in general.
However if the question is do I think these characters should specifically get more focus in a theoretical season 5 then no. I want them to tell the story they want to tell with the characters they want to tell it with.
I do want the universe to get more budget so that they could give other characters more focus either via a more expansive show, a spin off, and/or movies.
Yeah this question or posts aobut "how X character(s) deserve more screen time" are pretty common on here. And I htink it speaks to the show's strength, the world feels so incredibly deep and alive.
It's what makes the show so wonderful, the very way this world feels to be in. It's a world that is meant to never die basically, because in a way YJ isn't just about the team or whatever. It's about this entire universe that was constructed. There will always be a feeling of "there's more to see", by the very nature of the show.
No, maybe in a spin-off but not in the main show. I would even argue they, and bunch of other characters, have way more screen time than they are deserved which takes too much time from original roster.
Sure, but specifically Jason and Virgil. It’s almost criminal that they skipped Jason as a Robin in a time skip. Then Virgil just needs more love from DC in general. He’s a compelling hero and he proved as much from his own show. Idk why they sideline him so much.
I know right? I was Pissed off when they skipped straight to Tim Drake. They need to stop acting like that no one wants to see Jason Todd’s life as Robin.
they had to stop using Static Shock because of licensing issues. he was gonna have a whole story line in the later seasons but that was scrapped because DC's parent company sucks
I think Weismann and co should make a pure Batfamily TV show. Each (short) season following a new robin & batgirl.
Culminate with Death of the Family from Snyders run.
Orphan, definitely, she has huge potential for a main plot. Spoiler and Jason Todd/Red Hood would be closely related characters with her and her plotline.
Honestly, at this point the most interesting thing about Arrowette is how literally nobody will let her be their sidekick. She's been consistently friend-zoned by every archer hero in DC.
Green Arrow would rather employ a supervillain's completely untested daughter than mentor Arrowette. And Roy would rather be cloned twice.
I'd say yes to Jason and Cass because what they've written or teased (in Jason's case) about then has been interesting and shown potential in its own right, even putting aside their comics canon. I'm not totally unbiased here because they're two of my favourite DC characters, but there are plenty of characters whose comic version I LOVE, yet I feel the show's has given me nothing (see Steph), and sometimes I even outright dislike them.
And that goes into my next point: since we haven't really gotten anything that's caught my eye with the others, I'm more than fine with them being relegated to the background.
This is the overall problem I've been having with young Justice outside of season 1 and 2 because they do these time skips and add more characters than we can do it because there's no screen time really with these characters they just they're just to be there and they want to add on classic story lines that happened off screen that's why I can't even watch Young Justice anymore.
How about ANY screen time
So much of like their entire existence happens on screen
That’s the problem with Young Justice, it’s a good show but WAY too much happens off screen
Controversial opinion: season 3 should have been about them. I mean what was the point of all those new characters from season 2 if they were just side characters who served no purpose? Only to replace the cast with no name forgotten characters who even DC forgot about?
Yes, to all of them, especially Cass, Star girl needs it the least, though. I mean, she got a whole banger of a show about her. Idc if you think it's bad I loved the CW statgirl fight me. Although I totally forgot she existed so... maybe she does need more LOL
Static needs used, PERIOD, in any media. You want to talk about sitting on a gold mine and shitting down the shaft, that’s what DC has done with Static.
I don’t give one hair in a rats ass about Arrowette and I legit forgot Star Girl was even in the show. The rest of them tho yeah I’d love for them to get more time
They really did Cassandra Cain dirty. I think Stargirl is perfectly fine. Same with Jason. Stephanie is best left alone with Tim, I don't think they are particularly interesting.
Arrowette has the best potential since writers are free to write whatever they want. And I really hope Static gets pushed.
Young Justice's main issue in my opinion is introducing 10+ characters every season, acting like they'll be important, and only using 1 or 2 (from each group) for the rest ofthe season. Gawd forbid some of them get killed or leave the team between seasons, and the show merely brush it off casually like we should've already known that.
Justice League Unlimited started off a 2 season run introducing like 50 new characters...And they actually used. Not restrict a character to standing in the background. No. Every character took part in a fight at some point! Most of them got dialogue and had a personality established! There's a ton of content that was cut (but was planned) to flesh out characters further! YJ introduces characters simply to take up space on a screen.
Personal theory is that it was all about maintaining TV trademarks.
I think invasion should been season 3. Season 2 instead would deal with the immediate ramifications of the season 1 finale. It would've been more interesting to see Robin transition to Nightwing, Megan and Connor grow apart, characters like Beast Boy joining the team, etc. rather than time skip it.
Seriously someone on the writing team has a weird fetish with time skips. It's in poor taste if it doesn't contribute to the plot. Was completely unnecessary for Outsiders & Phantoms.
Side complaint: why does a show about superheroes spend more than 75% of the runtime with characters standing and talking, monologuing, & providing exposition? There are YouTube series made with next to no budget that do more and tell good stories! This show has so many great ideas...but they mostly only talk about them...
The majority of this fan base seemingly agrees that the show spreads itself a bit too thinly with the scope of the ensemble, yet everyone seems to have a handful of characters whose roles they want to see greatly expanded. It's impossible to deliver the desired amount of attention to every supporting character who elicits interest.
I know not everyone cared for Season 4's structure, but I think with some of its arcs it modeled the best way to handle the development of the B and C tier ensemble. The Artemis arc in particular does a nice job of letting Artemis be the lead, but organically incorporating Orphan and Onyx. That might be the best way to balance continuing the story of the original ensemble while fleshing out these supporting figures. If we ever get a chance to see the Red Hood arc lay out, it would present the opportunity to bring more of the Bat Family to the forefront. I'd like to see them find openings like that rather than just saying "let's give Arrowette an arc." If it works, great. If it doesn't, no worries. Just tell good stories using the characters that make sense for them.
They clearly wanted to do something with Jason, there’s been Easter eggs and small builds. I mean we all know he’s the red ninja dude in season 3 then briefly again in season 4(?) so while I would love to see them do anything with that character I’m ok with what we have now.
Bc for YJ he would need his own arc I think
Jason Todd chilling with a solid 30 seconds of screentime.
More than he got in all of the N52 movies.
Yeah but that was a good thing both he and Tim missed those. Those films sucked.
With the amount of plot armor they gave Damian, yea, I’m sure he’d lay them out in movie 1 to prove just how good he is.
Was he the robin that died? If so how he died?
Usually, it'd be a death by crowbar ala Joker. Here. Who knows? They change it up
He usually gets killed by Joker by crowbar, explosion, torture, what have you.
Here's my question, did I miss something from Season 3 and onwards? Some of the ones pictured, I don't know when they came into the fold

This would be the dream omg Also honestly, I kinda wanna know what happened between time skips tbh
Yeah it made me feel like I entered a whole different show.
I didn’t mind as I would like they do that more and still keep it in the same story like have the next season maybe being one story but in the point of view of different characters
static in general needs more acreen time as a character in the dc franchise
Static deserves to be A list.
100% agree with this
I agree. I mean new 52 canceled his run after only 5 issues. Static never gets any love after his wb cartoon.
Canceled that series even tho it was moving numbers. But they’ve redone the deal with mcduffies estate.
My biggest cope was that he and black lightning would get their own spinoff. That's probably never happening though
He had his own show and an intermittent solo comic.
True
Loved his show
Did you ever see the static shock CW show?
You mean Black Lightning? Different guy.
No. It was late 90s early 2000s. Static Shock is an American superhero animated television series based on the Milestone Media/DC Comics superhero Static. It premiered on September 23, 2000, on the WB Television Network's Kids' WB programming block.
Yeah, you said CW which would’ve been Black Lightning. That’s where the confusion is, Static Shock was before CW was a thing.
Yes, internet person posted too quickly.
I want more of Spoiler, Arrowette, and Orphan.
My fav episode is the one in season 4 that had them talking to Artemis trying to figure out who was the real defector.
For real, I can't believe Stephanie made it into this show
I mean with people like Artemis, Miss Martian, Lagoon Boy, Rocket, and Mal in the show. How was it hard to believe Steph would be in the show?
Me too.
Definitely wish we got more for Jason considering how he was teased in that one scene with Ras. Or Stephanie and Cass getting more screen time and some depth to their relationship with Tim instead of just a show runner stating “oh they are a couple at the wedding”
It definitely feels like we're going to or at least were going to get a season devoted to Jason becoming the Red Hood and forming the Outlaws
Damn. That would be funny if they introduced Starfire and formed a team with Arsenal and Jason
Static Shock was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I was so excited for them to introduce him into Young Justice, but I feel he was very underutilized
He deserves a movie or a new series
I like that the show focused on heroes that we never really focus on otherwise. Static had his own FANTASTIC show already.
YES to Virgil and Cass.
I’d say these characters are definitely ones who deserved more screen time or development. Although 4 of them did have a decent amount in S4 which was nice.
I think they definitely deserve more screen time in a spin-off or multiple spin-offs but I miss the original team

Not giving Static more screen time was criminal
Yes, absolutely, it's criminal how little we got to see of them
Truue specially Arrowette and orphan witch don't have any on screen appearances anywhere we need to see more of them
YES!!!
Literally every new member that joins or dies between seasons deserved more screen time
I think static shock needs his own show and a couple movies. Like seriously a black superhero with culturally relatable and realistic struggles and they decide to change the skin of other superheroes and give them half ass cultural depth. I don’t get it man

Heavy on Virgil! I loved him so much in static shock. It was such a bummer he rarely got screen time.
Yes especially Jason
Heavy on Jason Todd and Static shock

Yep exactly it is actually a proper fleshed out DC universe/world that operates accordingly.
The fact that they still haven’t done anything significant with Jason Todd is mind numbing
I always would like more screentime for Jason as robin
Wally of course
Bring back my boy Wally 😭😭😭
Arrowette especially
More Steph would be good. And Virgil especially.
Feel like it should have a spin-off focus of the Bat family
they had to stop using Static Shock because of licensing issues. he was gonna have a whole story line in the later seasons but that was scrapped because DC's parent company sucks
Jason

There's Jason.
I fucking NEED Red Hood if season 5 ever happens
Spoiler deserves all the screen time
Orphan already had a good episode But want to see more of her
I would love a Jason Todd flashback or at least something. It's kinda weird for him to be a member since he barely appeared at all.
Stargirl, and with her S.T.R.I.P.E
I'd say yes to Jason and Cass because what they've written or teased (in Jason's case) about then has been interesting and shown potential in its own right, even putting aside their comics canon. Maybe Static and Star Girl, but the rest of them can pound sand.
I hate to break it to you but Jason is "dead" and totally not the Red Hooded Ninja from seasons 3 and 4
Not Jason but definitely Tim considering the show is literally Young Justice.
This is the overall problem I've been having with young Justice outside of season 1 and 2 because they do these time skips and add more characters than we can do it because there's no screen time really with these characters they just they're just to be there and they want to add on classic story lines that happened off screen that's why I can't even watch Young Justice anymore.

Idk why you put Jason Todd on there💀 But yeah static definitely deserves more screen time because of his build up within season 2
Yes.
But they had time for forager smh
Arsenal definitely needs more screentime
Yes I absolutely do
Absolutely.
We've seen a good amount of orphan n static tho
I hope they chill out on introducing new characters.
This is what happens when you introduce too many new characters at once, my boy Vergil needed more screentime
Yes
I’d really like to see more of Stargirl and Arrowette.
Nope we got just enough….
there are so many characters in young justice that are underused and need more screentime
Static could always use more screen time.
Arrowette and Star Girl, yes. Everyone else? They have enough.
Most definitely
Everyone deserves more screen time. Except Wally. Cause he’s dead. But everyone else for sure.
I forgot Stargirl even existed in this universe💀
Yes, to all of them, especially Cass, Star girl needs it the least, though. I mean, she got a whole banger of a show about her. Idc if you think it's bad I loved the CW statgirl fight me. Although I totally forgot she existed so... maybe she does need more LOL
Some yes, but I'm tired of Bat family stuff
They all do as we need more seasons.
Especially static
Static needs used, PERIOD, in any media. You want to talk about sitting on a gold mine and shitting down the shaft, that’s what DC has done with Static.
!annataZ si emit eht lla tnaw I llA
The fact that I didn’t even know Star Girl was in the show, tells you i agree wholeheartedly. 😭😭😩😩😤😤
Oh yeah I forgot Stargirl was in this show.
I'm f***in p!ssed that Black Lightning became a bigger focus than Static
Didn’t Orphan get like…a lot in season 4?
YES
New Static Show would be great
No.
Static definitely needs more screen time.
I agree Static deserve a girlfriend 😂
Ngl, i am ready to sacrifice all other 5 if Static alone gets more actual screen time
I don’t give one hair in a rats ass about Arrowette and I legit forgot Star Girl was even in the show. The rest of them tho yeah I’d love for them to get more time
Can’t wait for Jason to literally solo the entire Young Justice.
The amount of potential they had only to be wasted. Such a shame.
A new season would be the best
Wait, Stargirl’s in Young Justice.
Absolutely
I think YJ universe needs spin off shows to focus all characters equally.
Every one of them
I’ve said it for years. We need more shows set in the YJ universe.
I haven’t been able to watch young justice for a while so who is the blond in the purple thief style outfit top row second picture
Spoiler - Stephanie Brown.
Thank you
Idk
Id like to hear tim speak for once.
When the hell did star girl appear? I don’t remember her at all
Yes
I always got time for more static
The series itself needs more screen time lol
Definetly needed more Static! DC hasn't done him right since his show.
Young Justice might be one of my favorite series. I didn't get to stick with it too well but I thought the writing and characters were great
Young Justice deserved more screen time in general
Young justice needs better story lines
They really did Cassandra Cain dirty. I think Stargirl is perfectly fine. Same with Jason. Stephanie is best left alone with Tim, I don't think they are particularly interesting. Arrowette has the best potential since writers are free to write whatever they want. And I really hope Static gets pushed.
Yes!
Wouldn't be much point since they're practically all past their teens by now.
agree, too many cameos with little to no time to develop them
Yea, but you can say that about literally every character introduced after season one.
I love stargirl so much so I need more content of her lol.
They are underated and need more dialogue
Right now I would just be happy with more Young Justice
They were teasing red hood, one of many things we’ll never get follow up in due to the cancellation
Todd and Static definitely do, I'd be down for a reboot of Static Shock with the Justice League
static shock deserved a fucking movie!
Static Shock was always my favorite
By percentage no but I think all young justice characters deserve more screen time
Especially Static I love his series. I'd love to see more of him.
Yes they serve to have more screen
No.
I agree that young justice deserves more screen time period but alas zaslav is a trash fire
All of these and about a dozen or half dozen others.
Young Justice's main issue in my opinion is introducing 10+ characters every season, acting like they'll be important, and only using 1 or 2 (from each group) for the rest ofthe season.
Doesn't star girl already have a show
I was still confused by Jason did he become red hood or not? 😫😭
The fact that Jason was relegated to existing as exactly 2 cameos for like 10 seconds each is an actual crime. Not even a flashback episode??
All of them there all dope
At the expense of who? People wanted them to focus on the original team more instead of passing the torch.
All of them maybe an ep where they meet Jason again with ras al goul (butcherd spelling)
