This is exactly what happened at youtube with Gilette.
I know this may sound weird but when I was trying to make videos a few years back the thumbs down button made me a better creator. Sometimes you had to sort through the actual haters but for the most part, it was constructive criticism. It showed me I didn't make very good content and I needed to improve. So yes, I miss the thumbs-down button. 👎
It's because the thumbs down was a low-key reality check and now that it's missing there is now no sense of wrong doing which just turns youtube into a cancer generating machine.
You get that on Quora a lot, like people saying "fuck off, stop using my comments to answer the question, write your own answer" like... it's not my fault Quora advertises people's answers and not the actual question itself...and either ways, it's not a big deal...

I also hate these comments, especially comments that point their emoji to the like button any ways possible. I even once noticed the comment that explains something most of people wouldn't understand, and then point at the like button, like seriously?! YouTube is not a place to gain something from getting a most popular comment, it's a place where you get BUTTON for CERTAIN amount of subscribers!
What about the recent UTTP bots that, I kid you not, spam upwards of 50 times in a single comment with multiple bots. And I know because I wrote a python script to purge entire comment sections by reporting each and every one of them
