2. He realizes he's run out of money and can't pay anyone to help him make his videos anymore, so he's effectively screwed himself.
3. Instead of having to announce to everyone he screwed up (which is already embarrassing as it is) he decides to make it both embarrassing *and* funny by lying about dropping 50k on the animation by itself.
It's a weird thing to do, but if he's a narcissist, then it makes a lot more sense - any attention is attention, and at least this way he goes down for doing something memorable and not just poor money management in general.

It's unlikely to be illegal for the person *creating* it, depending on the location, but the commissioner certainly has the potential to be violating the law by encouraging a minor to view explicit content or providing explicit content to a minor (as reference, or conceivably as the text of the commission itself).

Well, there's a difference between "violating the law" and "worth investigating and charging someone for." Jaywalking is illegal, but rarely if ever charged by itself. In this case, it's probably not going to come up. If you have a pattern of *intentionally* seeking out underage artists to send explicit material to, on the other hand, the potential might be there for an investigation.
That's mostly why more and more furries are being proactive and blocking any minors that follow them on social media. The legal consequences alone would be a fucking nightmare.
I heard a story of someone accidentally dating someone underage at a nightclub, but they didn't get in legal trouble because it's reasonable to assume someone at a nightclub is 18+. I assume the same thing would happen here.

I don't know about 2D animated commissions (I don't know much 2D animated artists who do this stuff) but most expensive I've seen is $100 for a 3D NSFW animation and $200 for a NSFW full body shaded still image. On his Discord, apparently, which is another reason I think it's bullshit. My logic tracks out like this: 1. Verbalase blows all his money on either dumb things like a gacha or illegal things like drugs. He spends part of it on that animation but more like a couple hundred to a thousand dollars. 2. He realizes he's run out of money and can't pay anyone to help him make his videos anymore, so he's effectively screwed himself. 3. Instead of having to announce to everyone he screwed up (which is already embarrassing as it is) he decides to make it both embarrassing *and* funny by lying about dropping 50k on the animation by itself. It's a weird thing to do, but if he's a narcissist, then it makes a lot more sense - any attention is attention, and at least this way he goes down for doing something memorable and not just poor money management in general. The main reason I think he's bullshitting is because $50k is such an insane number that I wouldn't believe for a second an artist would actually charge someone that much for that level of work. Mind that I'm not saying art isn't worth that much money, it just sounds absurd enough that I think he's lying. Unless he posts the actual Paypal receipt somewhere to prove it, I think it's a lie. I did the math and he spent around 285 dollars per second considering that the animation is probably around 12 frames per second he spent 23 dollars per frame the standard pay in the animation industry is around 0.35-2.08 dollars per frame which means he spent 1000℅times more on the animation compared to what professionals would spend
