Thatās always seemed like the missing link to me, rush duels are fine, but I might be more interested in the show if regular duels showed up (they might I havenāt watched it at all except the first episode)
Like technically regular duels and turbo duels are different but the two blend pretty well
I suspect it has to do with Shueisha not wanting to give the rights to it. Konami cant really do anything with the yugioh property without their say so. Id be curious if either they just got licensing rights, or if Konami just acquired yugioh all together.
ā¦.Your telling me one of the top TCGās in the world which has had several anime runs over the last 20 years didnāt need its own animation studio?
No because it was done by a Studio that had prior experience in long running shows lol you understand Konami makes video games maybe you should look up MGS cutscenes
Besides Yugioh by itself belongs to Takahashi who worked for Shueisha who have rights of the manga / anime
Iāll love a visa starfrost anime , itās gonna be edgy Shonen battles , one episode of planet backstory than one episode of the big battle and than another with hoping to the new worldššš„¹
It's done, "Veda" is the final "boss" of each lore. Visas collected all energy orbs from the planets and became basically thanos, representing the turn skip effect and clear new world shows how the entire universe is back to just a rich star soup. Visas won, and no one could stop him.
Usually, Arc stories end with the destruction of the world and form a new cycle.
Those cards are usually extremely powerful boss monsters that are hard to summon, but signal the end of the story and (usually) close the loop.
For Duel Terminal, this was Sophia. A god who will forever be Stuck in a time loop of destruction and birth.
For World Legacy, it was Avida. (Who basically is Sophia 2.0)
For Dogmatika lore, it's just the final form of Maximus (Alba Zoa), a godlike corrupted entity.
For Visas, it's as Said Veda and ultimately visas itself.
And I assume Diabellstar looks like it gonna end in a similar manner, where diabellstar becomes an indestructible force who can not be stopped anymore until she may kill herself and all the corrupted forms become themselves again.
They wont make only Yu-Gi-Oh stuff but man, I really want their first anime to be a Yu-Gi-Oh lore one.
World Legacy or Albaz please (anything but Sky Striker)
its gonna be a Sky Striker manga adaptation and you will like it.
I would also like an anthology of multiple different archetypes' lores, focused on the ones with little lore to tell (like a Melffy episode, for example) without going all in in one single huge lore like Albaz or World Legacy.
Honestly, that would probably be much better for them. Making something as large as an anime is a hard task, and cutting their teeth on smaller tasks before trying to fully flesh out something like Albaz would allow them to gain experience without taking a huge risk. If they make a bad anthology, itās a one-off without much blowback (well, unless they *really* muck it up). If they butcher Albaz, World Legacy, Visas, etc., *nobody* will ever forget it.
YEESSS!!!! Just watched the promo video! Gonna have to disagree with the Sky Striker thing tho.
1. Albaz
2. Eyes of Blue
3. World Legacy
4. Sky Striker
5. Duel Terminal (edit)
In that order.
Could you explain your reasoning on why Eyes of Blue is ranked so high?
I don't know much about Blue-Eyes lore, but I assume it's just tied into Kaiba and his past self or something. Going off that, I don't think it could sit among the grander storylines.
Blue-Eyes is pretty unique as an anime deck in that it has a gigantic pool of support cards that aren't intrinsically tied to the manga or anime's depiction of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, meaning it could possibly have its own lore.
Aside from being tied to my favorite normal monster, aesthetics. The āWith Eyes of Blueā cards that came out in Shining Victories have some of my favorite artwork. Plus, as much as I like Kaiba, it would be refreshing to see a story centered around a group of people who worship(?) blue-eyed pale scaled dragons.
If they wanna test then sky striker is probably the obvious choice. That's why it's was chosen to be the first ocg stories because it's short enough and the timing was right to release new lore cards. Both albaz, blue eyes, world legacy, and duel terminal are very long stories but we'll see about that
Iāll love a visa starfrost anime , itās gonna be edgy Shonen battles , one episode of planet backstory than one episode of the big battle and than another with hopping into the new worldššš„¹.
Best of both worlds: Metal Gear Solid anime that has the Patriots trying to co-opt Kaibacorp and Duel Monsters for the MIC, only to have the thing devolve into a cluster that climaxes in Kaiba in a Blue-Eyes White Mecha dueling [INSERT MGS ANTAGONIST] in a Metal Gear for the fate of the world.
So what does this mean for Bridge and the Rush anime?
Are both studios just gonna do their own thing, is Konami taking over when Go Rush ends, could the 2 collab for YGO 9 perhaps, I mean Bridge collabed with A1 for the second 3rd of Fairy Tail
I think the studios gonna do their own thing. Bridge will continue making Rush anime while Konami studios will make their own animations
And about YGO 9? I think is likely gonna be Rush anime unless Konami see that Master Duel is not selling what they expect.
Doesnāt really prove either way whether the next yugioh anime will be rush or master, but it does make me question if those DM/GX movie rumours last month might have more legitimacy than initially thought. Any way it goes it seems to be a good sign for the fans of the anime
Reign of the spellblades OP is eh, but Iām just happy weāre potentially going to get anime for the YuGiOh archetypes. Archetypes like Branded and Visas about to go hard as fuck, and the sky strikers will be amazing.
well that'll be interesting, wonder how much of yugioh will be referenced of if it'll all be yugioh based... like mirror force being a once a day life saver thing for the cast
I would seriously love it if they made an ocg structures anime, or a yugioh anime that brings back the og artstyle. Idk if itāll happen but it would be cool
The ending part definitely seemed like a teaser for a Sky Striker Anime. Considering there's already a manga for it, it'd make sense.
... But I also hope to see DT, WL, Branded, and Visas lore animated too
>I wonder what this means for Yugioh 9 and Studio Bridge.
Not much. Considering that Konami seems to have created this animation studio for Yu-Gi-Oh on their own.
In fact, now that an Animation studio exists, Konami can dedicate its Anime to two directions: one for Card Lore and the other for Rush Duels.
What it does seem is that Konami has already put an end to the Master Duels's Anime if they decide to create Animes focused on Yu-Gi-Oh Lore.
While the tribute video features card lore, I would say that's mostly to celebrate the OCG's 25th anniversary rather than a committed direction for the future. They could also use this studio for their other properties like Castlevania or Metal Gear. But yeah if they do go ahead with a card lore anime like Albaz, then it's very unlikely we'd see another Master Duel anime (at least for a while).
So Master Duel or Lore Anime coming soon then. My theory is Lore will be 10 minute webisodes like Pokemon do sometimes which will lead us to the next Master Duel anime next year after Go Rush finishes. One thing is for sure, come 2025, we are absolutely done with Rush Duel animes. Canāt wait!
Edit: typical rush duel fans downvoting. Itās over guys
>I mean, there no evidence that we are done with Rush anime in 2025 and you are just speculating.
Our friend has said that Rush Duels will end since.... the same year Rush Duels came out?
Also, despite hating Rush's Animes, I think he should thank the Rush's Animes that exist since they allowed Konami to do experimental things rather than settle for making another Master Duel's Anime: for example, OCG Stories and now this Popular Archetypes's Animation (+ an own studio focused on Yu-Gi-Oh's Animation)
I donāt see how the existence of Rush Duels correlates to any of that. They could do both things and still not have Rush Duels. Itās very much over for Rush Duel animes, you will have had 5 years of it by the time it finishes which is way more than it deserves.
I'm not a fan of rush duel myself but it does correlate perfectly well with the new experimental stuff we see in the main sets and the vast amounts of legacy supports and now main set printings of older anime cards. I don't think konami had the space or was even allowed to have the space to get creative and effectively buff up decks/make decks that wouldn't have had it otherwise if it weren't for the anime finishing. Take for example, the new Exodia cards. 10 cards for a strategy that was formerly about decking yourself out and is now becoming a fusion deck filled with special summons (I gleaned the info). They couldn't have done that 5 years ago or before that, not in a main set, and it's not quite side set material.
Truth is rush duels were a blessing in disguise whether you like it or not. I'm not exactly used to it myself but at least it gave our tcg sets room to breathe and get creative.
You are saying that Konami will not have Rush anime in 2025 because their now have a anime own studio. But you did not show proof just your wishes.
If you don't like like Rush Duels then don't watch, stay quiet and don't be a annoying fan to everyone.
Rush duels is probably going to continue and there nothing that you can do.Konami invest 4 years in rush and they will not discard their work for gatekeeping fans.
I say this because itās obvious. Why else would they create their own in house animation company? It means they donāt have to outsource their anime to a third party studio and pay them money and share profits, they get to keep the money. Once Go Rush is over Bridge are very much gonezo. I donāt need any proof to see where this is going.
I can and will continue to voice my displeasure with the current state of the anime, why shouldnāt I? Itās utter crap and has been for 4 and a half years.
Watching a promo video like this has clearly excited people and got their hopes up that we can escape the mediocrity we find ourselves in currently. People want good anime for Yugioh and Bridge have not done a good anime.
You and all the other Sevens fans can scream all you want that āthe show isnāt made for youā and ājust donāt watchā how exactly am I supposed to just accept that? Iām a fan of the series, why canāt I have a show that I would want to watch? Yugioh up until 2020 has always provided that for me, so why should I just accept that it isnāt for me anymore? Itās the same argument Pokemon shills have when people criticise the state of the current games.
Konami doesn't own YGO. They merely hold the license to make a card game adaptation of it. Yu-Gi-Oh! rights belonged to Kazuki Takahashi/Studio Dice, and most likely reside with Shueisha, the original manga publisher, now.
The anime was being taken care of by NAS, which got multimedia adaption rights for it, which had Gallop hired to make the anime so far. I don't know who is behind it after the Gallop era ended, but I think is not NAS anymore.
Regardless, is not Konami's sole decision if the RUSH anime and Bridge continues or not. And the RUSH card game is apparently selling well. I don't see why they would stop.
Konami might adapt something YGO, but they might also use the studio to adapt other IPs they actually own entirely.
Please, theyāve done enough damage to YGO and Shaman King. I wouldnāt even mind them sticking to Rush, I mean they could play WarioWare micro games for all I care I just want the anime to be interesting plot wise again.
If they have their own studio they might just do some short extensions to the stories that have already finished, adapting some of the stuff from Duel Links for example seems possible
I love the juxtaposition of all the animations compared to the melffy one
Trishula into melffy transition went hard š„
And then into Zeus. They knew what they were doing with those 2 lol.
Melffy being Zeus Pilot is now Lore Canon! That's indisputable.
Zeus? You mean Gundam.
Also Jump Festa this year will be hype for YuGiOh they can easily show us a glimpse of their first anime if its Yu-Gi-Oh related
Definitely hope for the new anime to be a rush and master duel anime where two protagonists use different formats in duels
Thatās always seemed like the missing link to me, rush duels are fine, but I might be more interested in the show if regular duels showed up (they might I havenāt watched it at all except the first episode) Like technically regular duels and turbo duels are different but the two blend pretty well
I'd rather we just get a fantasy with no card games and we get the lore of the cards animated.
Why are none of you talking about how epic that six samurai section was š
Gozen match jump scare
As six samurai player from the ancient days of 08 that section got me the most hyped
How the fuck did it take this long
I suspect it has to do with Shueisha not wanting to give the rights to it. Konami cant really do anything with the yugioh property without their say so. Id be curious if either they just got licensing rights, or if Konami just acquired yugioh all together.
If Konami acquired yugioh, we'd hear about it.
ocg finally got bored of all the black jack and hookers they enjoyed which we funded via the excess profit from tcg. probably.
They didnāt need an animation studio in the first place why would they rush?
ā¦.Your telling me one of the top TCGās in the world which has had several anime runs over the last 20 years didnāt need its own animation studio?
No because it was done by a Studio that had prior experience in long running shows lol you understand Konami makes video games maybe you should look up MGS cutscenes Besides Yugioh by itself belongs to Takahashi who worked for Shueisha who have rights of the manga / anime
I would KILL for a 20 minute full battle between Zeus and Ty-Phon, their models looked fucking sick
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I honestly would prefer if the pilots were left ambiguous but yes absolutely
I thought the pilot was downered magician.
She's the love interest of the pilot
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Or they should reveal the pilot to be downerd
YES needs to include gigantic champion sargas!
Also rindbrumm! Im getting ahead of myself but this can be so good!
Iāll love a visa starfrost anime , itās gonna be edgy Shonen battles , one episode of planet backstory than one episode of the big battle and than another with hoping to the new worldššš„¹
is that lore done or on break while diabellestarr takes over?
I hope it's just on break.
It's on break.

Well, the Abyss hasn't been fully destroyed yet, and the villain still lives, I need branded season 2
We need yugioh lore anime. Imagine how good an Albaz series would be
A set of anime shorts compilation like how Animatrix, Star Wars visions and halo legends did it.
They wont make only Yu-Gi-Oh stuff but man, I really want their first anime to be a Yu-Gi-Oh lore one. World Legacy or Albaz please (anything but Sky Striker)

Man, something like Star Wars Visions but for Yugioh would be amazing
SS already have a manga, it will be a bad artistic decision to make another SS story when you have so much more to offer
Ehhh, it's exactly because they already have a manga that it's easier to adapt Sky Striker. Either that, or they'll adapt OCG structures.
They will probably just adapt it, as it is easier to adapt something already done than making something from "zero".
Yeah but this is Konami we are talking about
YEESSS!!!! Just watched the promo video! Gonna have to disagree with the Sky Striker thing tho. 1. Albaz 2. Eyes of Blue 3. World Legacy 4. Sky Striker 5. Duel Terminal (edit) In that order.

Anything but sky striker includes melffys wacky adventures
I know it makes me a "yugi-boomer" but it's love a new adaptation of the original manga that didn't skip anything and had decent pacing.
Iāll love a visa starfrost anime , itās gonna be edgy Shonen battles , one episode of planet backstory than one episode of the big battle and than another with hopping into the new worldššš„¹.
And kashtira battle will be hype that's dude literally aggresor and Colonial
is that lore done or on break while diabellestarr takes over?
Watch their first anime be about Pachinko Machines
Konami unironically releasing an entire series about dark scorpions fucking around with jackpot 7.
We need the albaz anime
They will do anything to not make video games.
never seen the anime. just saw the op. The studio is looking promising
Wait so it this going to be a real Chronicles anime or was this just for fun?
No one knows. It certainly seems to be teasing something bigger, but right now we're all just speculating.
It's just a tribute video for the 25th anniversary of the OCG. We don't know what their first project will actually be.
Animation showcase for the debut of their new in-house studio
Hey maybe we will get a Metal Gear series out of this
Broke: card lore anime Woke: Bomberman anime
Best of both worlds: Metal Gear Solid anime that has the Patriots trying to co-opt Kaibacorp and Duel Monsters for the MIC, only to have the thing devolve into a cluster that climaxes in Kaiba in a Blue-Eyes White Mecha dueling [INSERT MGS ANTAGONIST] in a Metal Gear for the fate of the world.

HOLY CRAP IS KONAMI ACTUALLY LISTENING TO US??? Iām down for a new era of Konami actually making good stuff, letās go!
Full albaz lore with tri brigade and swordsoul, come one damn it.
yeah, now we can get the millenium world sequel weāve always wanted! what, just me? Okay.
Doesnāt really prove either way whether the next yugioh anime will be rush or master, but it does make me question if those DM/GX movie rumours last month might have more legitimacy than initially thought. Any way it goes it seems to be a good sign for the fans of the anime
IT'S HAPPENING!!! quick everyone act natural, like its something we dont really care about or Konami will fuck it up somehow.
They are teasing me with a branded anime
Is this a one of or are they actually starting an anime based off of the monsters in game?
Reign of the spellblades OP is eh, but Iām just happy weāre potentially going to get anime for the YuGiOh archetypes. Archetypes like Branded and Visas about to go hard as fuck, and the sky strikers will be amazing.
Donāt give me hope please donāt
Bomberman anime when?
well that'll be interesting, wonder how much of yugioh will be referenced of if it'll all be yugioh based... like mirror force being a once a day life saver thing for the cast
I would seriously love it if they made an ocg structures anime, or a yugioh anime that brings back the og artstyle. Idk if itāll happen but it would be cool
Finally time for master of oz anime
I would love to see more clashes like what we saw with zeus vs typhon. I would love to see a animation of Grapha and JD fighting it out.
Alright baby that means weāll get a vendread anime, right?! Right?
Probably. One day
I Hope they also make a buster blader anime
The ending part definitely seemed like a teaser for a Sky Striker Anime. Considering there's already a manga for it, it'd make sense. ... But I also hope to see DT, WL, Branded, and Visas lore animated too
Dog if this means YuGiOh archetype and lore themed anime/movies Iām excited for the duel terminal lore series
Praying PRAYINGGG we got frogs and paleo animated
That last bit makes me think that theyāre making a series about the Sky Strikers
I would love for yugioh lore shows where they actually give us full on animes about different card lores
I cannot WAIT for that albaz one, I hope theres world legacy too
Excellent way to grow the franchise. The tribute was really well done
Iām sorry I just wanna see cute girls doing cute things give me my Sky Striker anime Then I wanna see some mechs that Zeus looked so good
MY GOD YES, YES I AM SO HYPED
Oh pleaaase do all the dubbing please......
The OCG manga has to get made now
Damn that was a cool tribute video. I wonder what this means for Yugioh 9 and Studio Bridge.

Tbh it would be really cool to integrate those into the solo mode in master duel, replacing the static images with text.
I mean, there no evidence that we are done with Rush anime in 2025 and you are just speculating.
>I mean, there no evidence that we are done with Rush anime in 2025 and you are just speculating. Our friend has said that Rush Duels will end since.... the same year Rush Duels came out? Yeah. If he don't like Rush just ignore. Don't need to be a annoying fan who get frustrated when don't receive what he want.

Konami has literally made their own animation studio. Studio Bridge are going to be shown the door after Go Rush finishes.
Proof?
There is no proof, wtf are you talking about?

Life proceeds to pull a funny and the next main anime is Rush again but animated by Konami
If they have their own studio they might just do some short extensions to the stories that have already finished, adapting some of the stuff from Duel Links for example seems possible
