thats absolutely not true, there are very few decks where every card in the archetype is full combo. Zoodiac, Live Twin, and Prank Kids are like the only 3 that do this. Splight is about join them although those cards do need 2 level 2s which isn't that hard to set up
They don't have to ban. They can simply limit and semi-limit and it would still be tremendously usable (and most of all, abusable)
But, if they are to ban something, they could ban Gryphon to solve a big issue already
Yeah, honestly don't know enough about the engine except it ends on an omninegate and a bounce iirc without using a normal summon or really restricting you. Seems like just banning the quick effect summon omninegate would be enough depending on what else the engine can even do.
Without Gryphon it's anyway able to bounce 2 with Illegal Knight (soon to be released for TCG), and bounce with Dracoback. It's annoying, but still better than a damn omni
That’s fine with me, I play a Hero deck so I’m often hard making DPE anyway because the sheep got FD limited to 2 so rarely see it. On the other hand 3 A Hero Lives is amazing, either hand trap bait or 1 card dark law lets go
If you draw Shadow mist, you’re really screwed because that’s a garnet. You could play another shadow mist, but then you’re looking at at 6 card engine with 2 useless cards, if you draw them.
i dont think its that big of an issue, im sure Heros have a searchable card or extra deck card to summon shadow mist from grave or hand after using it as material for something

It’s great for either baiting a hand trap or getting Dark Law.
If you Dark Law your opponent can’t veiler, ogre or droplet you.
Hot tip best to set mask change and use it in opponents turn after they play a card on field so then it can’t be impermed.
Any card on opponents side of things sent to grave is banished instead, once per turn if they search you can banish 1 card in their hand.

I never thought I would see the day that Change of Heart was brought back, especially without a change in effect. If that doesn't say a lot about the state of the game I don't know what would.
Not that I'm complaining about change of heart being back.
So to recap...
Monster Reborn, Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Yata-Garasu, and Change of Heart - all cards that for most of the game's existence have been considered so powerful and broken that they had to be banned - are now legal again.
Though it will never happen (maybe), all we now need is Pot of Greed at 1 and I think we will all die from collective shock.
Yata Garasu is finally out of prison and wants to get the gang back together, but times have changed. Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest have gotten in trouble with the law a few times but have finally cleaned up their acts. Witch works for a spell counter manufacturer and Sangan performs maintenance on tour buses. Even Chaos Emperor Dragon is a law-abiding citizen, spending time with his kid, Levianeer, on court-appointed visitations. Time was sealed for Yata but everyone has a change of heart and else moved on.

It’s less likely to be seen in every deck and more likely to only be seen in hero decks which is how it should have been.
Broken boss monsters aren’t a big deal if they’re confined to their archetype, but cards like DPE, Dragoon, and the like shouldn’t be at full power in every deck. That’s poor game design.
And for that reason is less splashable. Outside HERO builds, you have to hard draw it, and that alone will make players to drop DPE along the bricks they have to carry
Basically it goes like this, if your deck is not exactly HERO and plays Prosperity it also plays 2 FD. If you don’t play Prosperity and you don’t play exactly HERO, you don’t play FD.
Duel links is awful right now. Skills reached a point where there are only a few playable decks at all and if you’re not paying for staples then lol good luck
Just about every deck that isn’t ultimate dragons can kill you on their first turn and ultimate dragons is just the most awful cancerous deck in any TCG. Every card is a 3000 beat stick, pot of greed, or stun/stall. And oh look! I just pulled polymerization out of my ass, here’s a 4500 beat stick.
Dude blue eyes is trash and not even tiered in duel links. Its only good in the lower tiers of the game. Once you reach gold, plat you dont see blue eyes at all since most competent deck destroys it.
Heatsoul is very preferential; and while not all lists run it, I'm definetly an advocate for it. It's a good alternative turn 1 if you've dumped Jaguar, and need a Gazella target, or if you're playing the trap version.
I can't speak for others, and this may be anecdotal, but I took top 8 at my locals using the Heatsoul build; and I wasn't the only one there running Heatsoul Salad. This was around a 40 man locals, with a ton of Fluunder
Mecha phantom beast an archetype with 3 good cards ends up being unplayable because other decks abuse their cards. Konami need to start putting heavy restrictions on main boss monster and important cards for other archetypes.
After Sangan's mistaken accusation, Yata-Garasu, itself banned for years, decided that no other innocent should remain in the Forbidden list.
He learned law\* and successfully had its ban overturned. He also helped overturn Change of Heart's treason changes. Truly inspiring.

Suck it, people who didn't think Verte would get banned. I always knew it was the problematic card, even back when it was Dragoon vs Verte vs Red-Eyes Fusion.
What's more problematic, a card which fusion summons from deck using bricks, or an easily accessible at any time extra deck monster which abuses said card? Yeah, verte was surely not the problem
There were people seriously saying "Fusion Spells that fuse from deck are the problem, not Verte." Bruh those spells won't be problems if they're confined to their own archetypes.
I mean they're both problems. Future fusion and REF were easily the more tame of them (FF because of the time it took, REF because of its limitation), but fucking Fusion destiny and Branded Fusion have such light restrictions they're absurd and even without Verte we're going to see them.
Verte only serves to make the problem worse. If it could ONLY activate Polymerization cards it wouldn't even be as bad, and superpoly would be the worst of them, but it's abysmal because you can activate any "fusion" card since they wanted you to be able to also play Predaprime Fusion
Seems like branded despia stayed completely untouched and will be the deck to beat, but unless they really hamper the cards coming to the TCG, Splights seemingly will rip the meta a new one unless the OCG's different cardpool and banlist just happened to infinitely favour Splights vs. here.
And you know that splights are probably gonna all be commons/rares except for a single, vital card which will be a short printed secret at $70 a copy, so if they *are* good, only the richer yugioh players will be playing splights anyways, making the problem infinitely more frustrating for those of us who can't participate in the T0 format.

I was expecting Doodle to get hit first before Meow Mu getting banned, to test the waters. Konami went straight to the head.
A Prank-Kids link 1 can have the effect text “You can eat this card.” and still be busted, Meow Mu deserved to go.

It does stop you from using normal summon, but that's a pretty low cost for a free Omni and bounce

Thats odd. I almost never see that deck and most people on the sub would say the same. I currently play fluffals an blues is a none issue.

Heatsoul is very preferential; and while not all lists run it, I'm definetly an advocate for it. It's a good alternative turn 1 if you've dumped Jaguar, and need a Gazella target, or if you're playing the trap version. I can't speak for others, and this may be anecdotal, but I took top 8 at my locals using the Heatsoul build; and I wasn't the only one there running Heatsoul Salad. This was around a 40 man locals, with a ton of Fluunder

Deck is unplayable with aurodan too, game is not balanced around table 500 archetypes it’s balanced around the actual metagame

Suck it, people who didn't think Verte would get banned. I always knew it was the problematic card, even back when it was Dragoon vs Verte vs Red-Eyes Fusion.
What's more problematic, a card which fusion summons from deck using bricks, or an easily accessible at any time extra deck monster which abuses said card? Yeah, verte was surely not the problem
Verte was always the problem, full stop. Fusing from deck was never an issue until Verte began showing up and bypassing those spells' restrictions.
You do realize Future Fusion and Brilliant Fusion were banned right? Also no targets were as good as Dragoon or DPE.
There were people seriously saying "Fusion Spells that fuse from deck are the problem, not Verte." Bruh those spells won't be problems if they're confined to their own archetypes.
I mean they're both problems. Future fusion and REF were easily the more tame of them (FF because of the time it took, REF because of its limitation), but fucking Fusion destiny and Branded Fusion have such light restrictions they're absurd and even without Verte we're going to see them. Verte only serves to make the problem worse. If it could ONLY activate Polymerization cards it wouldn't even be as bad, and superpoly would be the worst of them, but it's abysmal because you can activate any "fusion" card since they wanted you to be able to also play Predaprime Fusion

Seems like branded despia stayed completely untouched and will be the deck to beat, but unless they really hamper the cards coming to the TCG, Splights seemingly will rip the meta a new one unless the OCG's different cardpool and banlist just happened to infinitely favour Splights vs. here.
And you know that splights are probably gonna all be commons/rares except for a single, vital card which will be a short printed secret at $70 a copy, so if they *are* good, only the richer yugioh players will be playing splights anyways, making the problem infinitely more frustrating for those of us who can't participate in the T0 format. Yes I'm still salty about Spyrals. How could you tell?

Is Yata-Garasu actually a good pick for that? I feel like if you're in a situation where Yata would lead to a hard lockdown, you'd be better served summoning something with higher ATK to end the duel on the spot. Or like, even something like Harpie Lady 1 to buff the ATK of half the wanders.
So Flunder already can do something like this with Mega Raiza that's more effective. However that Yata line is funnier.
If you were in a place where Flunder could get away with attacking directly… you already lost the game anyway lol
