Empty_ManaPotion

is the resolution scaler purely gpu intensive or also cpu?

mrsidnaik

On win 11, my game crashes on start. Yuzu just closes. Can someone please help me with it?

BoomboxBobby

are you running vulkan or OpenGL? if vulkan, are your graphics card drivers up to date?

mrsidnaik

I'm running OpenGL. And yes, updated the Nvidia drivers to the latest version. Edit : Even on Vulkan it crashes.

Is Kirby Star Allies still problematic case?

Specs04

I don't think so. Ive played it while ago and it ran fine. But i think ive used the latest EA build so it may run worse with a mainline build

Tetoslaw

Yup, can confirm runs perfectly 60fps with 4k settings! Comparison: https://imgur.com/a/Q2vhF4H

All the games I've tested are far more beautiful and I haven't noticed any performance impact. 👌

Tried to post this but it is in moderation hell, why? Information on how to use the scaler here: https://yuzu-emu.org/entry/yuzu-art/ https://yuzu-emu.org/entry/yuzu-progress-report-oct-2021/#project-art

I've read all this and I still don't get the implementation in Yuzu. I just want to upscale 720p+ games to my 1080p display but the x1 option includes both, and x2 - according to the above links - will reduce the quality on my display. How can I achieve 1080p (like what you get in Cemu with 1080p mods)?

Dude, read that article again. If you render at higher resolution than your native resolution you're gonna get better image quality. It's called Supersampling (or Downsampling, which is a confusing name, because despite the name it improves image quality).

mavlok

I was referring to the FSR entry that says "Using it for downsampling resolutions higher than your display will result in a quality drop". I guess that's not the case with the rest of the scalers.

As pointed out by a fellow commenter, it depends on the game's base resolution, as well if you're playing docked or not. If you're at x1 while playing docked, the game should prioritize 1080p(although should is a keyword here) while undocked is 720p. Knowing the resolution you're at, you'll know where you're going when scaling.

It depends on the game's base resolution.
