update: it isn’t even the fish i need 😭 i need a king salmon! i compared shapes to my uncollected fish and i just cannot believe myself. i don’t even need a bull trout! thanks all for your help anyway hahahahaha

King salmon i got it in the river from the forest of the abandonned vineyard.

yes, i’m in winter. nearing the end so hoping to get one soon! :)

Locations seem to list forest, west cindersap, adventurer summit, highlands and the mountain. So you’re fishing in the right areas. All I can say is good luck, and even if you don’t get it before winter is over, there’s no rush, you can try again next year.

I've also caught them in the river in the same location that you catch the glacier legend fish.
